@Shepard Wong @mikemack8 This was on the new movies from iHorror streaming this week, but I just started watching "the Sacrifice Game” on Shudder and it’s off to a roaring start. Told my wife it was a Christmas movie and the first 3 minutes were enough for her to tell me I was sick in the head and need serious help. 😂

Don’t watch this movie. It is absolute trash. I was really pumped for it too.

What’s it about?

Godzilla Minus One kicks ass.

Spoiler

A group of 4 terrible people kill a bunch of innocent people in order to summon a demon. It just gets insanely stupid.

Does the Eagles last 2 games count as horror movies?

Yes, I'd put them in the torture porn subgenre.

I’m on one today.  Just started getting extremely smashed the second I woke up because we didn’t have to go anywhere today.  Also trying to potty train our oldest daughter and she sheet all over the floor, but anyway. Back to important things…..I just texted this to my friend.

"Hereditary is so good. Ari Aster’s ability to create a morbid scene is better than anyone. I just forced Mary to watch the part where the brother drives off the road and lops his sister’s head off on the telephone pole. Then the music. Then he went to bed. And she sat back there the entire night in the car with no head.”

Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit like one of the scariest movies ever made.  Next up is Midsommar.  That opening scene along with the score is honestly one of the most horrifying scenes I have ever experienced @mikemack8.

Merry Christmas a-holes!  And F Dallas!

Next up is actually Peter Pan, but why not follow that up with Bambi the killing machine?

Midsommar is up after a night of drinks with "friends.”  Looking forward to giving them some ketamine and carefully placing them in my bathroom after I cop a feel!

@mikemack8 @Shepard Wong I have this rare 3 hour window right now so I’ve decided on 10 Cloverfield Lane and the Thing. The girl in 10 Cloverfield Lane is in the new Thing, but she reminded me of the old Thing, which is amazing. Glad I typed that last sentence for clarity.

I just went to a screening of Carpenter’s The Thing Thursday night with my son.  It’s one of his favorite movies and my favorite horror movie ever. He saw it for the first time last year when the same theater ran it this time last year.  I haven’t gotten around to watching the prequel but it’s a movie that has seemed to be building a following over time so I need to check it out.

I wish we had the option to love a post. The Thing is probably in my top 3. The prequel is fantastic. They do a very good job with the details and tying things together.

Spoiler

Pun intended!  But you’ll have to see it to get that one.

Also the cinematography in the original "the Thing” is incredible. I don’t understand how they built a set/scene like this in 1982.

Agreed on the Thing prequel - it’s surprisingly good

Anyone mistake Nefarious for "Nosferatu?”  I just did. In-laws have to stay at our house because their power has been out for 24 hours and I yelled at them about how this movie was gonna be about Dracula.  I’m hammered by the way.

Anyone seen "the Watcher” on Shudder?  I’ll give my detailed synopsis below.  No spoilers.

I assume this isn’t the old Keanu Reeves as a serial killer movie.

Nope it’s a different one that stars Mailata Monroe.  Just not good at all.
