The new stars make the prequels look good but that goes for many movie franchises because the more rubbish movies are put out the better the others look in hindsight then they did at the time. I mean I’m a huge fan of the terminator movie franchise and I wasn’t a massive fan of T3 when it came out(I unfairly compared it to the first two movies) but when you compare it to 4,5, and whatever the F no 6 was trying to do, T3 looks brilliant because Arnie still looked like a terminator and not an old guy playing a machine(yes I know it’s living tissue etc) and most importantly the end showed the start of the war we’d heard about for two amazing movies.

I don’t like anything after the original three. Star Wars after that has no soul.

You can add Fast and Furious to that as well.  Why so many?

Pfft that’s not even the outfit Leia wore at Jabbas palace nor is that the correct lightsaber color or proper hand grip on the hilt.

2/10

Also, who's holding the 2nd blue lightsaber?

Come over to the Star Wars thread in FYE; you'll get to see where the real geeks are. Although, if you are a fan of Kenobi, I wouldn't recommend reading it 🤣

It was good but it's a space worm movie not a space war movie.

False. At least 3rd, and depending what Daboll does with Danny boy, probably 4th.

When has Daboll helped a QB?  Hurts will make a Josh Allen leap under Sirianni.

"This guy cant read"

Giants Oline was ranked 30th last year. If their revamped line can get to middle of the pack, we'll undoubtedly have the 4th best QB in the division. I already think we do but the stats will reflect it if Jones gets any kind of protection. And yet people are discussing potentially paying Hurts $35-40M/yr lol. Derek Carr is the only QB i can think of that is getting paid $40M as the 4th best QB in his division. 1)Hurts will never be as good as Derek Carr. 2)The other 3 QB's in Carr's division are HOF caliber players. Cant say the same for the QB's in the NFC east.

No - bad joke - it actually is a space war movie - that happens to have Sand Worms in it.

My problem with Star Wars and this is coming from a guy who's never seen any of them, is that there are just way too many of them now that I wouldn't even know where to start.  Same goes for all of the Marvel and DC movies.  Haven't seen any of them and Hollywood is just oversaturated with superhero movies.  I'm sure for fans of them it's the best thing ever but for someone who hasn't, the more that come out, the less I want to invest any time to even start at the beginning.

Movies, shows, spinoffs...just too much.  There isn't any anticipation for the next one because they come out so quick.

Also, why are there so many different Batman's and Spiderman's?  I just don't follow any of it.

I'll start with the second bold. I was discussing some recent movies with my son (30 today) and I remarked how I always thought it was odd how vastly different opinions can be on films or even TV for that matter. I said I understand that people are all different so opinions are going to vary on any subject but it seems it's more extreme when it comes to entertainment media.

He replied "I have a theory - it has to do with the value of time. You like film - and TV - but you enjoy going to the theater to watch a movie, same as me. (which is true but for me the big screen is almost exclusively for FX movies - FX just don't view as well on a TV screen). That's not to say that people in general dislike going to the theater but they don't like it like you and I like it. That's why some people will watch the same movie half a dozen times and others struggle to watch that same movie once."

"So when you and I watch a movie, we're comparing it to other movies. Most people watch a movie and compare to whatever else they could be doing with that time."

As for Batman and Spiderman - it's a multiverse. Actually - I think it's more like why there are so many James Bonds - actors get old - characters don't.

IMO there are only 2 ways to approach watching the Star Wars saga or the MCU etc.

1) Chronological order (CO). Most of the ongoing film series have originals and prequels and sequels. Lord of the Rings and now Harry Potter

My fear with watching Star Wars in CO is that you might not get past "Episode One - The Phantom Menace". I recently decided to watch the entire saga in CO - I'm still on Episode 1 - it's really bad - it's a struggle. IMO though there are only 3 problems - Jar Jar Binks, Hayden Christensen (Even though he doesn't appear until episode 2), and the script. From what I understand, Lucas is the problem with the script. The final draft (4th) of Star Wars IV A New Hope was vastly different from the first - and while it was written mostly by Lucas, he had a lot of help. Episode 1 is almost all Lucas and it shows. Stick to directing and producing George.

On the positive though, if you decide on CO at least you'll also be starting at the bottom and you can be confident that it will only get better.

2) Release Date (RD). Obviously watching them in the order in which they were released. This allows you to absorb them in the same way phans of the saga have. Currently there are 9 films in the title series. 1 origin story (Solo) and 1 Complimentary (Rogue One). There are a couple spinoff series (and more coming) - The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Obi Wan Kenobi.  I haven't watched any of the animations but there is an animation film and a couple animation series that fill in some of the gaps of episodes 1 - 3. Technically the 2nd Trilogy. I think there are 2 Ewok films.

You can't eat an elephant in one meal. If you decide that you actually want to watch this series, pick a path and start with 1 film. Then the next etc.

But my advice is if you aren't the person who just likes films, then don't bother. You won't like the movies mostly because you'll feel you could have made better use of your time. OR if you're single - find a girl you like that is really into Star Wars and use watching the films for the first time as an excuse to spend time with her.

What ever you decide - enjoy.

Miles Sanders, on Video: "Oh man. We all feel like we're on an all-star team, so we feel great. We feel unstoppable, I'm not gonna lie."

Media: "Miles Sanders says the Eagles feel like an 'All-Star team' in recent interview"

Miles Sanders: "Media just switches everything you say!"

And.... ESPN has picked up Miles' All-Star comment and are roasting us mercilessly. They even played the Vince Young Dream Team sound bite.

Thanks a lot Miles, you dumb F***.

People still watch ESPN?

The Eagles aren't any better than a 10-7 team as they're constructed anyway.  They'll beat the bad teams and lose to the good ones just as last season -- they're a middling team.  That is, until they find a QB with top 8 potential.

DeVonta adding some muscle? Doesn't look all that much skinnier than Hightower or Ocho Cinco here.

A bigger question is why is he in Pittsburgh gear and colours?

The biggest question is....is Ocho Stinko wearing socks with crocs? How odd.

Yeah, he's old enough to know better vs all the kids I see wearing socks and sandals.

Do you guys follow the players on social media? I follow the official Eagles page/thing, but the individual players I don't really give an ish about following.
