May 4May 4 Phillies got a nice little shot in the arm with their manager-firing-message coinciding with a pathetic stretch of their schedule. They aren't as bad as the April team we saw, but that's a better glimpse at who they are than the last 4-5 games. The later half of May will send them right back to reality.
May 5May 5 The Phillies are going to have an expiring opportunity to unload some of these players as their perceived value is transiently salvaged. DD doesn't have the vision, spine, or job security to take it on the chin and actually do it. They won't sell at all and it will add several years to someone else's rebuild.
