There we go. My theory is at least 75% of the time a team with bases loaded and 0 outs fails to score the next half inning they give up a run.

Defense needs to be better. But I’ve said this before, Kerkering is a mental midget. He isn’t nearly as good as they think. He had this issue in the playoffs too.

I'm going to say something unpopular. This team will beat bad teams, and a few games against good ones like the Dodgers, but the manager isn't capable of winning a WS, and that roster isn't either. I'm glad when they win, but games like this cover the flaws. They literally need 3 or 4 relief pitchers.

They will not do what I'm about to suggest considering how they have run it back two years in a row, but they need to knock it down and even trade Schwarber. They could get a haul for him and with the money he is going to command some other team is going to sign him and they'll get nothing. No way they will do it but that would help speed up what needs to happen. I'd dump Nola and Bohm as well.

They will do the Sixers thing and run it until the wheels come off instead of getting ahead of it.

Yeah, but I figured saying trade KS might be too far for some. It will never happen but they aren't keeping him and it could help speed up the mini rebuild they need.

At this point I wouldn't care if they traded any of them - got guys out there making 25-30 mil a year and playing at a replacement player level.

Tbh if you are going to do a somewhat rebuild then you might as well deal wheeler too. He’s still elite and good contract. would likely get you an elite prospect and a good prospect back. I’d deal nola too if he started pitching better. You extend Ranger then your rotation is still really good with painter, Sanchez, luzardo and Ranger. Finding a fifth shouldn’t be hard as long as you don’t sign guys like Walker
