Hoping strahm gets the job done cause he could use a confidence boost. Been atrocious since mid April

Whew got the win. Ranger was the player of the game with Jamie Moyer type stuff today

Strahm still doesn’t look right. All of the outs were hard hit fly balls to warning track. He’s also looks like he has no control from continuously falling off the mound. He didn’t do that nearly as much in the past.

Jt is basically a platoon catcher now. His slashes against RHP are great. But Vs. LHP he is awful.

He is terrible at judging fly balls

He wasn’t just safe, it wasn’t even freaking close

Good explanation on why Crawf might not be a slam dunk.

He hits a ton of ground balls and is able to get hits in the minors because of his speed and the quality of defense he faces.

The argument is that those balls are less likely to be hits at the MLB level because or superior defense.

I still think he's a better option than Rojas, but I don't think he's the answer, either

Yeah been brought up about his 63% ground ball rate. The issue is more he is never going to fix that in the minors. Because he has had the insane amount of success in the minors and particularly this year in AAA. He’s not gonna change it down there due to success he’s having even if you show and tell him that. He’s still hasn’t adjusted cause he’s having success doing it his way.

So the only way you’re gonna get through to him to actually try to change that is to bring him up to the majors. Until you let him come up here and either sink or swim and if he sinks then go back down to work on it or work on it at the major league level.

Unless you’re just not gonna bring him up so you can hold his trade value where it is at the deadline then deal him at the deadline. Which if I’m another team, the devil advocate to that is you have an awful outfield, he’s raking in triple A and you don’t trust him enough to come up here and be slightly productive. Imo that is a red flag for other teams and will use in negotiations.

I’d bet we only get one reliever at the deadline. Have a feeling luzardo for the postseason is going to be moved to the bullpen. He’s going to be their eflin from 2022. I actually think he has better stuff and could likely be solid. Issue is he’s not done it since i believe 2021. So asking a lot to go starter to bullpen in a pinch. However with how the WC and NLDS sets up with off days really only need 3 Sp. the nlcs is a different animal but have to get there to worry about that

Bednar has been consistent 4 out of the last 5 years. And then just sign David Robertson. At that point that’s probably the best you’re gonna be able to do at the trade deadline in terms of bullpen.

Doctors said it was unnecessary for surgery. I’m saying something is serious if this is lingering from something that happened last season. Sounds like he needs to see more doctors
