I have a feeling Jt is back at a reduced price. The FA market for catcher is really bad. Probably could try to deal for Contreras of the brewers in the off-season as he’s entering the last year of his deal in 2026 and will get a sizable contract

Abel’s command is god awful today. 4 walks in 1.2 innings. Why he fell off the prospect map until this year again

Make it 5 walks, 3 run double and most of these balls aren’t remotely close

Bringing in lazar at this point is just Fing dumb. Might as well let Abel throw 100 pitches then remove him so you don’t kill your bullpen in game 1 of a DH.

I think it’s safe to say that the Abel experiment is in the crapper, along with his value in a trade now

For some reason I thought that first year he was decent. I just went back to look at his stats... had 15 wins but still a 4.38 ERA so you're right.

This would be his best year except for the fact since he went to the bullpen, his ERA is close to five. And they’re paying $18 million for him to be a bullpen arm that gets brought into blowouts

Yup, hard to believe this is actually his best year so far. What a terrible contract by DD and no matter what happens Walker is not going anywhere making that coin.

I brought this up last year from like London onward it was like this. They’d have 2 games in a row good or 3 of 4 with RISP. Then a 10 game stretch where they couldn’t hit a ball off a t ball stand with risp besides a game.
