I’m pretty sure it’s already passed that date. He’d have to be on the mlb roster for 172 days which since it’s end of June is not happening.

Got it. At this point, I see no harm bringing Crawford up for a 2.5 week stint prior to the all star break to see how he does, getting the majority of starts in either CF or LF. This will at least give DD a basis to determine if they need to seek outside help for OF or if they can rely on Crawford.

My theory is they aren’t bringing him up cause if he slumps then it’ll hurt his trade value at the deadline if they have to use him in a trade. I’m guessing if he’s still with the Phillies after the trade deadline that’s when they bring him up.

Could be right. In my mind, unless they’re trading him for a bonafide outfielder, with at least two years of control, I hope they don’t move him at the deadline.

Said this last night, they’d be better off if the dbacks made Suarez available going after him. He plays 3B and right handed. Can move Bohm to 1B then Harper to LF. Suarez for a 162 games is on pace for 52 HRs and 140 RBI. The Phillies have 1 power hitter in schwarber. Everyone else is either declined to a point where power is gone or never were. Harper might but who knows with his wrist.

Also the midway point of the Harper contract

Exactly. Against teams with great pitching these guys can't hang - they can get some guys in scoring position but no one ever comes up with that clutch hit. 2 games in a row getting shutout is unacceptable with a team this talented - Harper or not

Kepler stinks. He gets hot for a week then bad for next 3.

Really their outfield has 1 platoon player in marsh but need 3 others to finish the entire platoon for CF and LF

Are they really going to not score a single run in 3 straight games?? I'm sick of this BS.

I’m just going to post a picture of my dog every inning they don’t score until they do so we don’t feel as bad.

Yeah but I can't blame pitching when the offense is dreadful with 1 run in 27 innings.

I don’t either but you knew as soon as they scored that was happening

even after the wins against the mets before the astros series, even before the season started, my thoughts was always this
