September 28Sep 28 Highly recommend Tanya Ray Fox on social media and her The Regulars podcast with Cody Decker. The way they talk makes Chris Long sound like a priest so if you don't like cursing, stay away. She is very much aware and talking about the Herbert looks very white and tall conversation.
September 28Sep 28 Good luck to Jalen tonite. I hope he continues to play well.I don't care about Jalen versus Elway or Herbert, or Allen. Don't care. All I care about is Jalen and the Offense versus Chicago tonite.Go Birds!!!
September 29Sep 29 Unfortunate performance tonight. I expect a 7 year pro QB to not throw the ball away on 4th down when trailing late in the game by multiple scores. Have to throw a catchable ball there.
September 29Sep 29 That was a pitiful performance by QB1. I think he is going to be sick when he watches the film and he sees the wide open Wicks for a TD he missed, the wide open (twice) Lemon he missed. Starting to resemble last year when he had the AJ Brown tunnel vision, only this season he is locked on Smitty.
September 29Sep 29 SMH this is why I always hesitate to praise Jalen after a few games because he ALWAYS reverts back to last night's playing form...I saw Lemon open a few times and he just does not see him....he took another unnecessary sack instead of throwing it away, the really stupid bubble screen which NEVER works (but I blame the always moronic Siri/Mannion for that one)....was this another under 200 yards passing game?? Why yes, yes it was.....and this is why fans all over continue saying that Jalen is not elite and is a good game manager...its performances like last night, which he has alot of. In no way, shape, form or fashion should a seven year vet of this sport let a 38 year old journeyman outplay you on Monday night. When those of us had something to say about him struggling about two bad teams we were called bad fans and yet look what happens when they play a good team, which is what we were saying all along: Jalen's play is not sustainable in the long run when you are trying to reach the post season...He frustrates the ish out of alot of us because he has the potential to play consistently at a high level and when it really matters he comes through but there are far too many instances of what we saw last night happening with #1 under center.....
September 29Sep 29 First half I thought he was really good. We had a couple of early drives ruined by OL flags but we were moving the ball. And then there was the drive ended by the joke QB. He looked good and he was accurate. And then it resorted back to the second half nonsense we keep seeing.

That guy?!This must be the thread for the Hurts haters to say I told ya so whenever we lose and Hurts doesn't save the day 😂So much criticism for the guy that was solely responsible for our lone TD, but no criticism for that putrid defensive performance, Barkley being a no-show in the 2nd half, Tank fumbling, or Mannion's idiotic play calls.

Neither of those systems translate to a WCO variant. Square peg in a round hole. And, yes, Lemon has been getting open. Unfortunately it seems the only time he gets a target is when they run that asinine motion out of the backfield that has yielded about negative a million yards and is going to get Lemon eating out of a straw before the end of season.
September 30Sep 30 Fix the OLine. Get Jurgens out of there. We need a running game and Hurts needs more time.

Hurts never makes a read on the slot WR. Howie wasted a 1st rd on a position that will never have any value as long as Hurts is here.

Then we trade Hurts for a DE or Safety.

Him and Devonta are going to be a nice 1,2 punch. Hopefully they're able to keep Wicks beyond 2027. I'm not ready to give up on this offense after week 3. Howie will make a change at qb if he has to. We've seen him do it before

October 4Oct 4 In 2020, the offense kept hurting the team. There was a point in the season where a decision was made to go in a different direction than we were heading with our then franchise QB and we turned things over to our rookie. It's not unreasonable to start thinking about that again if the offensive struggles continue. It's easy to blame OC after OC, but every OC we've had under Sirianni has completely built their offense around this QB's strengths. We continue to struggle with the same things over and over. There's a chance that the issue is not the OC's, but the limitations of what they are building around. Jalen Hurts has strengths and he also has weaknesses. Middle of the road defenses are causing him grief by exposing his weaknesses. What used to be his strength, his legs, are no longer a factor in games. He protects himself and quits on plays when he runs. He sends that message to teammates. When the blocking is poor, he bails and 9 times out of 10 just throws the ball away. Last week when trailing on 4th down, he did that --- a mistake only rookies should ever make. I just don't see a confident QB that trusts his arm playing right now. I see a guy afraid to get hit and afraid to take chances. His weakness has always been vision and defenses know this. He decides where he wants to go before the snap and if the coverage is tight, his plan B is to get out of the pocket and throw it away. I wanted to trust Jalen Hurts, but I can't say I have any confidence in him picking the team up and carrying it. He works hard and I appreciate that, but I'm just no longer confident in him as a QB if he's no longer a dual threat QB. I have a lot more confidence in Jake Elliot to win a game right now, than Jalen Hurts. Hopefully I'm overreacting and Hurts rights the ship and wins me back over. But if we continue to see bad 2nd halves, consecutive 3 and outs, inability to convert 3rd downs, and monumental chokes, we have to start thinking of the future.

I have given him the benefit of the doubt on his limitations for years now but this start of the season I simply cannot do it anymore. I used to hate the RPO but with that he at least was a threat....I no longer see him that way and just an afraid QB scared to do anything beyond his first read.....he is NOT the QB that can put the team on his back like McNabb used to.....and people complain about McNabb and his dirt balls, which were a legit complaint but at least he actually could pull off wins by himself because of his mediocre wide receivers on the team.....I have to say that I now agree with another person's view on Hurts: he has to have everything perfect around him to be a winner....that means the screens have to work, the OL has to hold up, the running game has to be solid to excellent and the defense has to be elite.....
October 4Oct 4 This is a pass that wasn't a great decision to throw, but Hurts put his trust in a receiver and that receiver made the play:This is what you see backup QBs like Case Keenum do when they have success. I'm not saying Hurts is playing like a backup QB, I'm pointing out that he needs to put more trust in his receivers at times when they are covered tightly --- instead of just throwing the ball away. Today we lost a game we should have easily put away, largely because of cautious play from our team leader. Hurts says he will learn from this game. Well ... that's what he needs to learn from this game. Your HC puts his trust in all the players out there. The players, especially the face of the franchise, de facto team leader, and captain also need to trust each other (and themselves).
