Hate to say it…. Hurts got paid. He’s done

AI overview:

Hundreds of NFL quarterbacks who have thrown a pass in the postseason have a higher career playoff passer rating than Justin Herbert. [1]

Justin Herbert's Playoff Stats

  • Passer rating: 64.7

  • Games played: 3

  • Passing yards: 674

  • Touchdowns / Interceptions: 2 TDs / 4 INTs [1]

League-Wide Context

  • Out of over 220 players with at least 30 passing attempts in NFL playoff history, Herbert's rating places him around 145th.

  • This means approximately 144 quarterbacks with a qualifying sample size have a higher playoff passer rating than him.

  • When considering all-time players regardless of minimum thresholds (including backups or players with only one or two postseason pass attempts), the number of quarterbacks with a higher rating is well into the hundreds.

He just got his ass kicked by the Cardinals. 🤣

From the 2022 season through Week 1 of the 2026 season, Justin Herbert has accumulated 102 combined passing and rushing touchdowns, and approximately 12 to 15 NFL quarterbacks have produced more combined touchdowns than him over this span (led heavily by dual-threat and high-volume volume passers like Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, and Patrick Mahomes). [1, 2, 3]

Justin Herbert's Touchdown Breakdown (2022–2026)

  • 2022: 25 passing, 0 rushing (25 total)

  • 2023: 20 passing, 3 rushing (23 total)

  • 2024: 23 passing, 2 rushing (25 total)

  • 2025: 26 passing, 2 rushing (28 total)

  • 2026 (Thru Week 1): 1 passing, 0 rushing (1 total)

  • Grand Total: 102 combined touchdowns [1]

That's only the ones who have been in the league that long. Several newer ones are also better at scoring than Herbert.

But yeah, he had some pretty stats and a 15-17 record in 2020-21.

You would hate him if he was an Eagles QB sucking that bad.

  • Coaching and play design?  I don't understand why Hurts has so many plays where he stands in the pocket and delivers accurate passes but you guys never talk about that, only the bad plays.

Please remember who is giving said "take” on Herbert sucking at Football. 😊😊

Herbert is obviously a top 25 QB and you may be able to convince me of top 15ish. I was exaggerating as people do about starting NFL QBs. Sucks was relative. In a 32 team league he is a mediocre starter at NFL football.

He is in reality close to nothing compared to Allen, Jackson, Mahomes, and Hurts and a long history of clutch QBs who win in the playoffs. His career is defined by stats on teams that did not win much early with great weapons and falling on his face when it matters. 3 picks in a season followed by 4 in the playoff game is Andy Dalton territory.

CJ Stroud has been brutalized for his playoffs but Herbert plays in LA and...

Stroud has 3 playoff wins (3-3) and an 80 playoff rating. His teams scored 24.5 points per playoff game.

Jordan Love is only 1-3 in the playoffs but he has a 90 playoff rating and his team scores 26.5 points per game.

Herbert is 0-3 with a 65 rating. His teams scored 15 points per playoff game.

Dak is famously bad in the playoffs. He is still 2-5 with a 92 rating and his team averages 24 points per game.

Not only is Herbert not often criticized, he is universally praised as better that Hurts. (by morons) 🤡💩

He is the poster boy for most Hurts haters. They lick him all day long.

Caleb Williams in year 3 may already be better than Herbert.

Darnold is now better than Herbert after his 2024 and 2025.

What exactly is Herbert good at compared to the top 15 or so QBs?

Its not winning

Its not winning in the playoffs

Its not scoring TDs

its not passer rating.

Is it passing yards? The QB who beat him on Sunday has more passing yards per game than any other QB since he became the Cardinals starter. Is Brissett elite now? 🤣

Herbert did have a great week 1 game last year. He had 23 TDs and 13 picks the rest of the way.

Herbert has ranked 12th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 7th, and 15th in passer rating in his 6 seasons. He is 24th so far this year.

He's not a winner or a playoff winner.

He does not produce in the running game or aid the running game.

He has decent running ability but he only puts up about 309 and 3 per season.

If you think he is top 10 then you need help with math.

He is nothing special save 1 category. He had a 23 TD to 3 pick 2024 and keeps picks low so 7th all time in TD to INT.

Hurts is 12th

Brissett is 13th

Allen is 15th

Jackson is 2nd

Active QB regular season win % (1970-present in parenthesis (min 30 starts))

1- Mahomes .764 (1)

2- Lamar .690 (5)

3- Hurts .688 (7)

4- Allen .678 (8)

5- Nix .676 (11)

6- Purdy .667 (14)

7- Rodgers .627

9- Goff .593

13- Burrow .582

14- Prescott .582

22- Cousins .529

23- Trubisky .525

24- Herbert .525

25- Stafford .504

32- Wentz .495

35- Baker .476

38- Lawrence .457

Cousins and Herbert is a really close comp (first 6 years as a starter)

Cousins has a higher passer rating, yards per game, passing TDs, and actually won a playoff game.

Herbert has a few more wins, less picks, and better TD to INT.

Cousins has 1 more rushing TD and Herbert has more rushing yards 1744 to 665

He is Cousins, with aggressive marketing and propaganda.

Joe Montana, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Brett Favre, John Elway and Warren Moon all played in the NFL and their careers all overlapped from at least 1991-1994. All of them are in the HOF now. It's okay to call any of them great without knocking the others. Sometimes there are many really good players in the NFL at the same position, at the same time. Guys like Randall Cunningham and Mark Rypien also made All Pro lists during that same stretch.

None of the guys I mentioned were perfect either. Nobody is perfect. All players have strong traits and weaknesses. Pretty much all players are loved by some fans and hated by some others.

Joe Montana, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, Jim Kelly, Brett Favre, John Elway and Warren Moon

4 SBs, 2 MVPs

1 SB, 3 MVPs

3 SBs

1 SB loss and 3 MVPs

4 SB losses (and Kelly only had 2 excellent seasons total and 20 TDs and 28 picks in the playoffs, he is a fraud)

Favre was not of their era but he had 3 MVPs, a SB loss and a SB win

Elway went to 5 SBs and won 2, and was voted Jerry Rice's 1987 MVP award.

Moon had to be a CFL legend first due to racism. He was an OPOY in 1990, he was in 8 straight pro bowls, he passed for just under 50k yards. He won some playoff games and performed well in the playoffs.

Even Randall was 2nd in MVP voting 3x and he redefined the position. He was 20 years ahead of his time.

He was also 1st team All Pro QB 2x and 2nd team once.

He lost the MVP vote to Montana in the Ultimate Weapon year due to politics.

Look at the numbers and he'd win easy if it was 2020 instead of 1990 and all that entailed.

Mahomes, Lamar, Hurts, and Allen belong on a list like that.

I don't love Stafford but go ahead and include him with the MVP and the SB win.

Herbert is a nothing. Including him is a joke. He would be closer to Jim Everett without the playoff wins.

Lawrence might be the next guy to watch after his 2024 and start to 2025.

His first 4 years were a mess but he had some really bad coaching.

I don't know why people pine so much for young QBs like Herbert that haven't really proven themselves in their biggest games. I personally don't have anything against him. He plays through pain and has a lot of talent. But the grass isn't always greener. People can only speculate how he would do in a different situation. For all we know, his path here might have looked like Wentz'. It doesn't really matter who the starter is in Philly, there will always be a contingent of fans clamoring for somebody else. I also believe it takes 7-8 years for QBs to show the best version of themselves. As you said, Lawrence had all the tools, but was far from an instant all-pro. That also means I believe Hurts will still continue to get even better. Some of the guys you knock should as well.

I believe there is a lot of raw QB talent in today's NFL. Only time will tell which QBs achieve greatness. Because of the offense we employ, there will be several QBs every year with flashier stats. Some fans don't appreciate command of an offense and seemingly would feel better if they had a QB desperately passing in the 4th quarter of every game, playing from behind. Those guys will have bigger numbers, but lower winning percentages.

100 x 3 club : 100+ passer rating in the regular season, playoffs, and SB while winning a title

1989 Montana

1994 Young

2009 Brees

2010 Rodgers

2014 Wilson

2022 Mahomes

2024 Hurts

Odd, how there are seemingly endless examples of Hurts' greatness yet weirdos with pathetic agendas find ways to pretend otherwise.

Crazy how good Bart Starr was back in SB I and II. He missed that list by about 1 completion in SB II.

I’ve got that windbag Skippy ignored and, unfortunately, when you reply to his post, I have to scroll down through all of his diarrhea to see what you’ve actually written.

Here is a good test for Herbert:

Explain to me what he does better than Dak.

Bragging about using the ignore feature and without someone even quoting him, prove you're full of crap and actually likely obsessed with the guy. Nice work.

Oh ... and 7th grade called ... they really enjoyed seeing your mom used again.

Then you do the same thing with Trevor Lawrence and 6 other guys and Herbert is at 12-14 where he belongs.

Dak is a hell of a regular season QB and he is a mismatch assassin. If you have a UPS guy at corner his WR is going for 175 and 2 TDs. If the game is a blowout either way, Dak is gonna feast for stats.

Then the playoffs arrive and he's now the 18th best QB or so when they need the 10th.

Dak and Herbert deserve every penny of their contracts but they don't need our pity pretending they are better than who they are.

Lol! You can choose to show a post when you ignore someone, dope. And any post of a person you’ve ignored that gets quoted in another post is not hidden.

I ignore him because he copies and pastes 10 page posts from AI queries about stats. I don’t want to scroll through all of that.

Dak is 27-6 against the Giants and DC. .818 win %

He is 56-50-1 in every other regular season game. .528

Herbert is 14-7 vs the Raiders and Broncos. .667 win % (Broncos are good now but were trash for years)

He is 40-37 in every other game. .519

Hurts is 15-7 vs DC and NY .682 win %

But he actually better at 43-18 in other games. .705

Lamar is 21-8 vs Ohio. .724

He is still 60-24 vs the rest of the league. .714

These splits are similar to Brady, Mahomes, and Allen

Allen is 24-7 vs Miami and NY .774

He is 66-33 in the rest of his games. .667

Lawrence is 12-5 vs the Colts and Titans. .706 win %

He is 24-42 in his other games. .379

Maye is 5-2 vs the Jets and Dolphins. .714

He is 12-12 in every other game. .500

Goff is 18-5 against the Cardinals and Bears. .783

He is 73-56-1 in his other games. .565

These other QBs don't get to be better than Hurts just because you are a weirdo negadelphian who hates success.

Allen is QB1. There is no reason to deny that right now.

Hurts is in that next group of 4 or 5 guys with Lamar and Mahomes.

Burrow is not, but could get back if he stays healthy and starts winning again.

Note: in the 2002 realignment, Peyton Manning was tucked in to the softest division in football.

He was 46-13 vs that pathetic division. .780

He was still 141-66 .684 vs the rest of the league

Hurts looks like a great QB here. Herbert, Dak, Goff, and company do not.

Hurts looks like a great QB in every possible way besides:

counting passing yards per game outside of 2022-23 and pretending rushing yards don't count

I like football. I like stats. I like when Philly sports teams win regularly and win championships.

I also enjoy making fun of morons.

Go ahead and put me on ignore and call me names that I only see when I take your pathetic weirdo loser ass off of ignore for brief context.

I feel that Hurts has grown in to that comfortably top 6-8 range, but let's be honest...those other qbs didnt have the top Oline, two #1 receivers and a top 5ish tight end. Im not saying Hurts doesnt deserve the respect he has at this point, but Lamar and Allen could only dream of this set up. What separates Hurts is the damn heart in his chest. Dude goes wild when the ish hits the fan. Jalen is the #1 qb i dont want to deal with in a close game in this era.

Goff and Dak were drafted in the same year.

Dak had a great rookie year. Goff was 0-8 on a slappy team.

Their entire careers so far are similar with 3 big differences.

Dak has a big rushing yards and TD advantage.

Goff wins more in the playoffs.

2017-2026 Goff has missed 5 games, Dak has missed 25.

If you saw the Bills game, Goff just fills his diapers and falls over with pressure.

The one where a QB with any wheels could have rolled right but he loops into another rusher on the left was hideous.

Any pretending that he is some elite top 5 dude because he throws swing passes to Gibbs is hilarious.

Probably too hot for Hurts today.

Can't play in the hot, cold, rain, snow, fog, sun, night, etc.

In the end I guess he cooked them in that heat despite most of his team trying really hard to lose.

He had 1 bad pick, he missed DeVonta deep, he had his arm hit on a zero blame pick, then he was a beast in the 2 minute drill and he won yet again. He is on a pace to go 17-0 with 42 passing TDs and 24 points per game.

Idh53u.gif

Hurts is 55-16 in his last 71 starts. he went to one SB and won another during that span.

Imagine what kind of 🤡💩 is in your head to go on a can't win rant against him.

He was also 38-4 in college with another title.
