Is this an all-time greatest or current roster?

Can't compare the two. It's a completely different era nowadays. Everything now is about speed. Can't compare it to the glory days of grind it out, smash'em up porn.

With the cap crunch and the injuries, Howie should seriously consider whether this team can legitimately contend, and if not, whether it should be a one step back season and try to shed some cap and go with some kids and live or die with them.

It was one thing to go for a repeat after the SB, but this team is getting long in the tooth and needs a serious infusion of youth.

Adam Caplan said Reagor may only miss Week 1. Fingers crossed.

I think it's hard to do that with Wentz in his prime, though. In theory, every year they should be a somewhat legitimate contender to at least win the division/conference.

This is the argument I try and use with my wife

I dunno, with the Eagles already in a bit of a crunch at 53 with injuries and emphasis on line depth, so I think it will be tough to be able to squeeze anyone new onto the active roster.  Add to that the expanded practice squad numbers meaning less talent walking from other teams, and I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being a pretty dull deadline for us.  We'll see.

Let's say the Eagles keep Sidney Jones on the initial roster but then a vet starting CB is cut in favor of an incoming rookie based on talent alone.  That's a situation where I can see them jumping on the vet, cutting Sidney and then bringing him back on to the PS as a protected vet.  You still keep him for one more year to see if he figures it out, get a vet to start at CB2 and bump Maddox to a backup where he truly belongs.

He should absolutely take it on the chin and look to the future.  The Chiefs are the only team in the NFL with a claim to being a contender that doesn't involve tons of luck.  While some may say that means you need to be all-in because anyone could take the throne, I'd say you don't hang your hat in a season whose outcome rests on unpredictable chaos.  And that's COVID related poor preparation chaos alone...before we even consider our intrinsic injury issues and questions at positions in transition.

This just isn't the year for any team to be "all-in."  All the youngsters should be playing tons.

So DeSean for week 1, Reagor for weeks 2-Super Bowl.

Looks like rubbing one out to pron is a better workout plan than anything meatmcginley does.

Wentz needs a playoff win to get that monkey off his back. If he gets that this year, I'd consider this season respectable regardless of what happens after that.

Duuuuce!!!

Fun times!  Didn't Andy Reid start the game off with an onside kick?  Same game, right?

One of the best, most important Eagles regular season games of all time.

Fairly current but hard to keep current. Careers can be fleeting in this business.

Yes. The opening kickoff

Interesting name but with the assets already put into safety, probably doesn't make sense. Unless he's really cheap.

Corey Simon sack on his first snap of the game I think too.
