A random name that I haven’t heard in years after looking at old drafts last night was Jack Ikegwuonu. Ended up going to jail around ten years ago for armed robbery.

I had high hopes for him to bounce back from injury, similar to the Sydney Jones situation.    I also had great hopes for CJ Gaddis and K'Von Wallace.   Those two make me cringe at going back to Clemson for a safety again.   We'll just never get another Dawk, can't try to force it.

I haven't watched a lot of Alabama this year... but I have to tell you, I'm not overly impressed with Milroe.

Has lots of tools. Need to return to school.

If he declares, would gladly take him as a developmental QB as of RD3.

@TEW

Is a fan and not sure why. He isn't good, like at all.

We are 9 points short of being the #1 scoring defense

We play NYG

Chargers play KC

Go Carson Wentz!

Sure.  Will he last to Rd3?   Sounds like he could be the guy at #1 overall.   And I wouldn't touch him there.

It's a pretty solid sequel. They did it fast enough after the OG that Kevin didn't really age so he still has that innocent, cute kid factor going for him. It's not like Stranger Things with 30 year old adults playing 8th graders.

To be fair, the actors playing the 8th graders were 12-14 years old. There were other characters that were seniors in high school, being played by actors ranging from 21 or 24. Which is how 80s movies and shows were all the time back then, much older actors playing teens. The show is retro and that's part of it.

We are the #1 scoring defense when the defense is on the field.

Tools of what?

This is the same dude that was benched last year.

He likes guys with big arms who can run. Doesn't care if there are any actual QB attributes.

I don't mind gambling on that in round 3, and developing a year or 2. but not a high 1st round pick.

But they're going to rest the starters, they don't play for records they play for the Super Bowl!

He isn't a 1st rounder and more than likely returning especially after today.

I don't disagree... but I brought it up because I've heard him discussed as a potential #1 overall pick.   Nothing I've seen today says he's remotely close to that guy.   Maybe that's just a signal for how weak this draft class is.

Dude sees the field worse than Hurts.

Give me Kyle McCord or Dillion Gabriel, guys that actually did something in college.

That might be the drive to finish off Alabama.    If Michigan scores on this drive, that might be it.

Are 2 QBs as first rounders. Ward and Sanders

Ugh.

Also why are NFC games on CBS these days?

Milroe stinks

@TEW

Jordan Marshall is about to get Ohio St nightmares for the next few years. Best part is he is an Ohio kid.

Could be true. I thought they had no WRs letting Diggs and Gabriel go. Though theyve managed pretty well on offense maybe our DBs do match up well with them.

Still dont fear KC this year.

That Shakir guy is pretty good, the rook has shown some promise.  Ironically, come the playoffs not having Diggs is a positive since he threw temper tantrums the past few years and gave up on the field each time.  Last season probably being the most obvious.  Had he attempted to catch 3 of the balls came his way in a couple key spots they might have won the Lombardi last year.

Big, strong arm and fast are tools. His accuracy is fine. He just needs to play a lot more.

So, Nick brought up letting DeVonta set the Eagles' rookie receiving record in 2021 while everyone else sat in week 18. I wonder if he'd consider playing Saquon behind backup lineman and see if he breaks a couple big runs early? I think that would be a mistake, but I am more worried about Lane or Jordan getting dinged than Barkley since both of them have had injury issues this year (Lane concussion but also 34, Jordan was on IR). I'd also like to see AJ shut down with his lingering knee issue, and DeVonta and his hamstring. And then there is Jalen's concussion.

Maybe the middle ground is you let Barkley dress, play backups on defense and at the skill positions, QB and tackle, and see if he rips off some gains early. I 100% think you rest everyone on defense.

I don't think it's worth it, but it's one way to approach it.

I don't know much about Ben Johnson, but my gut says he's gonna have a Steichen-like path. Found the absolute perfect fit as an OC, will be a blah head coach. We'll see.

Given that Fangio primarily rushes with the four DL in his light box, I believe the pass rush is outstanding.  They clearly apply pressure on the QB.  They are top 10 in Sacks in the NFL, so even given their schematic limitations they do get home frequently. They are now in the top 5 in Net Turnovers.

Look at the Cowboys game as an illustration.  Only one Sack, but Rush and Lance were constantly under pressure, with very little time to go through progressions.

Could the pass rush be better?  Definitely.  But, as currently configured it is highly productive.

Top 10 in sacks in basically 12 games too.  The DL was terrible before the bye.

He has played 15 games the last 2 years. He just isn't good

The WRs are visibly upset with him because he isn't getting them the ball.

Rumors were ND threw a bag at him

Because the NFC has the biggest market teams.  CBS wants a piece.  Even the 'big' market they have with the Jets is the little sister franchise.  And with LA... the Rams are the bigger draw, and the Chargers are the after thought.

Only Houston and Boston are top 15 markets in the exclusively in the AFC.  NY, LA, Chicago, Dallas, Philly, Atlanta, DC, San Fran, Tampa, Phoenix, Seattle, Detroit and Minnesota are all dominated by NFC teams.

That's 13 of the top 15 markets in the NFC.   And there's only 16 NFC teams.  Only GB, Carolina and New Orleans are outside the top 15.  The NFC is where the money is.
