The plays going in aren't good either. They need a new OC. That's obvious. I just don't like the debbie downer attitude here. We're defending champs and are 11-5 with a division win. It sucks that the OC stinks. It really does but you'd think we were perennial losers if you read this board.

Patullo is a certified moron. Seriously, he is objectively horrible at his job and there is no getting around it, defending him, etc. Listening to him speak at press conferences it's hard to believe that smart people like Howie and Lurie signed off on his hire. He is worse than Brian Johnson.

Frankly, I really don’t mind it for the offense. as much as people are down on the offense, people are just as excited and as high on the defense. They get praised because they are competent and playing at a level that may be better than 2024 since Phillips got here. They actually lost a key guys contributors in the offseason and doing it with adore Jackson.

Imo I think the reason why people are so upset is because you don’t know how many years more you have with this defense and playing at this level imo might be the best defense back to back years we’ve had in nearly 22-25 years. They’re going to have to pay that defense to keep it together. Eventually it’s going to be an expensive defense and you’re not gonna be able to keep everybody. You only have so much time with it all being together. Maybe the eagles have a chiefs and patriots like decade+ run but it’s not the norm.

So the reality is at some point this defense may never get back to this consistent level and so

You really don’t want to waste it cause the offense can’t figure it out. They have all the talent on offense to be significantly better than what they have been. Imo i don’t think anybody’s asking them to be a top five offense. I don’t even think you have to be a top 10 offense. What people are asking them to be is league average and not go an entire half with 17 total yards, 1 first down. And absolutely run your defense into the ground. And they haven’t done it since the bye week unless it is the Raiders or commanders.

Based off, listening to when Sal Powell asked a question and sirianni‘s answer sounds like if he is iffy or doesn’t like the play it takes longer for it to get in as he doesn’t necessarily want it. IMO if it’s happening more and more then jt would be much simpler if sirianni to then just took over the play calls. then you get what you want. Probably still not great play calls but at least at that point, you know what you want. You’re getting it into the huddle with adequate time. At that point it’s on the players in the huddle to get it, say it, get to the lined up with enough time so you don’t have to snap it at one.

Depends.

Whose plays are the ones that work? Which one has us throw out of under center (what is it 16% of the time) instead of run? Who called the plays where we spread it out then run? Who calls the play action plays that seem to work? How about the red zone plays that work? Let that guy call the plays. The other guy can turn in his head set.

They need change there for sure. Probably too late to bring in a consultant but another voice for the playoffs couldn’t hurt

There have been so many years where I said what if like if they didn't take the tag off Trott they beat the Bucs the last game in the Vet. This year it will be what if they didn't sign a complete POS as an OC and just had a guy pulling balls out of a bingo thing with plays.

Siri did not say that he changes the play calls. He specifically said that he does NOT do that live, because that would then result in running out of time on the play clock. He said that he needs to do a better job of discussing the play calling between series, not to interrupt live when the play is being called. He said a few times that he needs to do that more, and reading between the lines it suggests he knows there are problems with KP's play calling and he needs to step in.
