You draft your next QB next year and save $50M per year against your salary cap. Hurts gets one more season; if the offense sputters as badly as it has for the past year, the Eagles will eat dead cap to move on from him — at least, they should.

I’m bummed we lost out on a couple of fourth round picks. With the depth of the TE class there was gonna be a good one there to double dip.

Pretty quick interview. He only took about 6 questions. I didn't get any weird vibes from him. He pretty much gave stock answers to all the questions.

Knowing nothing of this kid, and just watching a highlight video. He catches everything, plays bigger than his size, and is tough. Big negative is at times it looks like he's running on sand. Iffy on the separation he gets against kids, it's probably not gonna get much better in the NFL. I think he's player with the ball in his hand tho.

Not ideal but Dallas was going to make us pay and he'd have been gone obviously. We'll see. Glad we kept all the picks tomorrow
