Nick, in his heart of hearts, is a high school football coach running a wing-t offense.

roll

When all the other High Schools were running the Wishbone (mine), Veer, Power I (a couple of the segregated Black), our arch rivals from the River Oaks (old money) area of Houston, Lamar was running the Wing T. They may have passed the ball less than our team. Not sure Nick is as much of a heavy run guy as folks think. I think that was to correct Hurts’ turnover issue and help the OL because of his release time.

Why I suspect the Eagles may envelope some of the Riley version of the Air Raid with its tiered receivers with Mannion. Not the Kingsbury overdose version but some of that. We saw that some with AJ on slants but it disappeared last year. The layered look allows the QB to see multiple receivers on a single look.

Personally, based on Nick’s time calling plays here, that he is more of an Air Coryell guy at heart. Loves the deep throw a bit too much. (If I were to bet, it was Nick who called 4 verts twice to end the season).

If we got a new OC with a fancy dancy offense and he needs to pare it down to all out breaking routes, we are handcuffing him, and all of our new pass catchers again.

Sure, they do that stuff well. But they're also great in the middle of the field and we need someone who will make the QB throw there or find a QB who can.

This is ridiculous.

More punter than kicker.

Saints couldn't even trade him until after 6/1 anyway

I've heard that they probably will but don't think this guy Drake Silver is credible.

Also we definitely should have known about Akers kid as looks like he played 6 years in college.

The dude put this tweet out. He doesn't have an ounce of credibility

I hope the camp battle is decided by a cage match to the death.

Tons of CBs.

I've found it interesting that they didnt carpet bomb OL like that. They really may be more enthused about their depth and developmental guys than we know.

Oline and playcalling were 1a and 1b for me

AJ took off some plays and you guys act like he did it the entire season

I agree he wasn’t the biggest problem. Low key I think it was the injuries to the Oline.

Not necessarily my favorite (Bernard), but I'm intrigued by Micah Morris. He seems like a day-3 guy that can carve out a nice career as an adequate starter in the league.

I really like the Morris pick. Would not be surprised to see him replace Steen in 2027.

The OL hamstrung the offense and magnified Patullo's weaknesses.

That hasn't stopped daily AJ Brown discussion. 🤣

The guys from last season (Williams, Hinton, Kendall, Lampkin, Pierce) will be in the mix for depth.

Anyone buying that Arvell Reese went from a .4 GPA in High School to a 3.7 at Ohio State ?

Got a B in basket weaving. If the Amish prof had read the department head’s memo and given him an A he’d have the 4.0.
