Tons of CBs.

I've found it interesting that they didnt carpet bomb OL like that. They really may be more enthused about their depth and developmental guys than we know.

Or there wasn't enough prospects in the draft that warranted invites at the position.

Absent a starting safety, here is our defense:

That's the fun of it all. Don't you get any joy out of the unknown, potential, let's see what happens?

No.

Sucks Ojomo turned into a great 7th round pick and is still super young but this is the last year we will get out of him

I know he came in the same draft class as Goedert but still surprising that Mailata is already on the brink of turning 30.

They might keep him if they can't work out an extension with Carter.

Despite was a great safety prospect. How has he been in the league?

There was a clip from an insider in DAL that said someone in the DAL camp had info from PIT (via McCarthy staff and having worked together while in DAL) that DAL knew PIT was going to take Lemon and they called PHI to let them know and work the trade that put PHI in front of PIT and get DAL the two 4s they got...IDK if it's true but the way the clip showed it, it sounded legit. I'll see if I can find the clip again.

Didn't Howie say that during the PC before the draft? Why are his remarks trending again?

I don't think these camps are great for OL. Better for skill position guys and their D counters

BVS signed with the Bills

Dallas made the Eagles pay a premium for a few spots. Not sure who they got with the picks but they likely got their guy in the first too.

That’s awful. There is no excitement, tension, joy, or heartbreak in that. Truly, I feel sorry for you.

Two 4s in this draft is not a premium imo...DAL didn't make Howie do anything he wasn't prepared to do already. That was a contingency that the PHI FO had already prepared for to make sure they got their guy with their first pick. It was actually made more affordable by Lemon slipping a few picks really, I bet you anything PHI didn't expect him to be there that late, he was rated anywhere from #8 - #11 best pick in the draft, once he started slipping they were ready to jump.

EDIT: IMO it was a win-win for the NFCE...DAL and PHI got what they wanted. DAL got back two 4s for the two 5s they gave up to move on Downs, PHI got their receiver.

I think the counter point is that many of us realize this team has a wealth of talented players. We are in an era of historic success with one of the most talented rosters the team has had. Many of us remember the years where Reid and the Eagles seemed to have the roster talent but were unwilling to add the final piece. Most of us remember the 91 season where a healthy Randall makes that team a Super Bowl contender. It is hard to maintain the talent level. NFL careers are short. The salary cap limits the ability to keep rosters in tact. This team should have been in position to win a Championship last season but for, in my opinion, the coaching and injuries to the o-line. Hurts was a limiting factor or certainly not a solution for the offense last season.

I understand the sense of urgency. If we had a competent OC last year we'd definitely have made a run. It's hard to stay on top of the mountain. But looking at teams like Cleveland, Arizona, and the Jets, it's very nice to be up here looking down. Even some of the fringe teams that are knocking on the door such as Green Bay, Chicago, Pittsburgh and the Vikings, they don't have a legit shot to make a real run like we do.
