Having any relationship with a coach that is personal enough to secretly vacation with them completely ruins her objectivity and makes it so no team staff is going to want to share anything with her. Her career as an insider is cooked regardless of what the Athletic decided.

While Jemele Hill has a DEI agenda behind seemingly EVERYTHING she puts out at this point, her sentiment that the insider business is pretty muddy is almost definitely accurate. Even if it’s just breaking off the agents, that kinda quid pro quo is still gross journalistically.
