Tuesday at 10:18 PM2 days Probably means someone there is on the way out, they usually aren’t making a lot of new hires these days. Especially for a non TV personality.
Tuesday at 10:24 PM2 days As long as they don't get rid of Ashlyn who is FN gorgeous, not insufferable, and seemingly doesn't sleep around with sources to get information.

The same turnover that led to a 2-1 winning chance for the other team, that blew it. Nice job watching with one eye opened. Two more points in the first period with a couple of primary assists. Michlov is now up to 12 pts over his last 10 games and 19 over his last 20. He just continues to "do nothing well." Keep lodging your foot down your throat ya FN dope.

They’ve been on a fun stretch of hockey.Game 7 vs Boston I was the worst wingman of all time.My buddy (former EMBer from WAY back) had his eye on this girl so the plan was to come over watch a bit while I grilled up some grub. Then we would head over to this bar in Denver I’ve never been to before to meet her and her girlfriends. We were planning on leaving at the end of the second period. But the way that game was going, f that, we are staying for the whole thing.Worth it.We head to the bar. I walk in and yell "LETS GO FLYERS!!!!!!”Turns out she’s from Massachusetts and it was a Boston bar. Worth it.

Wednesday at 01:00 AM2 days To comment on how corporate entities function in situations like the Diana Russini fiasco...they dont care about her or what she did. They care about their liability. One one hand, you could fire or force-resign a female employee who had a spurious but undefined relationship with someone who may or may not impact her ability to do her job. There is liability and exposure in pulling that trigger. On the other hand, you have the fallout of NOT pulling that trigger. This also has PR implications. That's all the matters to the Athletic. Not what actually happened, not the "right thing." It's what limits liability and mitigates bad press and angry customers (someone is going to be pissed at them either way). I don't blame them for it either. This is just how it goes when you have an employee that does something stupid.

Even a first round pick has less than a 50% chance to become a starter. 5th-7th is less than 10%.If you can get a starter on one or two years of a rookie contract, or even just a solid contributor, you are far exceeding your expected value on the draft pick.A good example is Dotson. We gave up a third for him. It sounds steep until you realize that getting a solid #3 receiver with a 3rd round pick is only about a 30% chance, meaning the third round pick and its 4 year contract would be expected to get only 1.3 years of utility. 2 years of Dotson as the #3 was a huge outperformance for that draft pick.I never thought it was steep because of the other picks involved. It ended up being the value of a late 4th for a cost controlled #3 WR with (in theory) high upside for two years.

Honestly they might have cut a deal to do that even with her 'resigning'. It's the NY Times who owns it. She seems like a terrible person. People have affairs but it's low to publicly speak negatively about your spouse while cheating.

Focus on elite athletes, then move your rankings around based on intangibles and development level. A guy with elite physical traits and high work ethic but raw skills is simply more likely to succeed at the NFL level than a guy with high work ethic and highly developed skills but mediocre physical traits.

Yeah, that trade was extremely successful in the proper context of proper expectation vs real return. That trade tactic is something other teams have started employing recently as well. I sort of wonder where the next market inefficiency will be? RBs were a value proposition for a while but I think that edge is nearly gone now. LB also seems to be coming back into vogue as the spacing concepts and 3 WR personnel on offense combined with power running have placed an enormous amount of pressure on LBs to be multi-dimensional.I've been waiting for the shoe to drop on QB salaries. It's becoming untenable. How many guys are truly worthy of these mega deals? Maybe 3-5 at any given time? And how much easier is it to win with a guy on a rookie contract or a journeyman vet with a stacked roster than a QB with no help but guys on rookie contracts? Especially now that QBs have become so much more athletic and able to sustain drives with their running ability?Eventually some team is just going to start churning QBs and it's going to work. Maybe you can't win 3 SBs in 4 years like the great dynasties have. Maybe your fanbase hates the inevitable flop replacements and losing the star QB. But eventually an owner like Lurie is going to give a progressive GM like Howie the greenlight to try it and it's going to work and lead to sustained success with a high floor on wins because of greater overall talent.
