    A 2028 1 is more valuable than a 2027 2.

Everyone used to laugh about trading AJ until it was gradually accepted into an inevitability. Things are going sideways in slow motion with Carter for anyone who wants to watch it.

This speculation will be a thing as long as Carter doesn’t have 2 working shoulders. If he’s healthy, this talk will look foolish in year’s time.

Why we worries about MG when we have his bigger clone in UAR?

I forgot the Rams traded for McDuffie too

LOL

Couple thoughts....

  1. The MG trade was long overdue and a good one for both teams. Cleveland got a haul for a player that was out of sync with their competitive window. One of the best teams in the NFL picked up the best defensive player in the NFL.

  2. No one could really compete with the Rams once Jared Verse got offered up. Upgrading from pro-bowler to a better (and older) pro-bowler at the cost of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round picks is a STEEP price though. But the Rams...their scouting and drafting is outstanding. They keep trading away draft picks and they keep finding some of the best young players in the NFL anyway.

  3. What's up with the Eagles and Jalen Carter? I can tell you it's not good. There's just way too much smoke with trading him....it just feels like he's gone after his rookie deal is up. If that's the case, they better get as much as they can as soon as they can.

Part of me think it's teams asking for Carter back in a trade. I think the Eagles will push very hard to sign him. There's also been reports about them being in extension talks with his camp. It's possible the Eagles are not sold on Carter getting Micah Parsons type money for a deal and that's what he wants. They may have concerns about his shoulder injury and concerns about some of the off field stuff. They may think what the get back in a player like Garrett or Parsons makes up for Carter and it saves them picks. The fact that his name has come up multiple times means something. I am not sure that it means they don't plan on extending him. I think they would love to keep him and would have gladly worked out an extension if he was wanting something that was like a top 5 DT contract. A top 5 DT number would be closer to $30 to $35 million AAV, If his camp wants $45+ million AAV for an extension, it would explain why his name might be coming up in these trade rumors.

Yeah people should be concerned to say the least. Thank God they made that awful Ty Simpson pick at 13 rather than someone who could have helped them right away, too.

4 PM, get it done Howie

Given how bad this draft class was considered, a 2028 1st alone is worth more alone than the deal the Dolphins got for Waddle given that pick was 30 in a bad draft. Plus I expect Eagles will get more and not have to send anything back. Unless it's a 1 and a 3 for AJ and a 4 or something.

So even if it were just a 2028 1, it would at a minimum equal the Waddle return. A 2028 1> 2026 30th and a 3rd.

I guess there's no other way to get a QB other than with a first round pick.

Wait, what, I thought Brown wasn't getting traded and this was all made up by WIP? That's what you told me for several months.

"Howie, you haven't announced the trade yet."
