This question is contaminated because the player is no longer "elite" or he would have fetched much more in the trade. Essentially, he was considered less than Jaylen Waddle by the entire league. You have misevaluated this whole ordeal from Jump Street.

Felt the Knicks could win that series before tonight. Before Knicks played game 4 at Cleveland they were +265 to win the title. I threw a $100 on it to payout $365. Bailey took one look at the organization in Washington and said "Nope". Portis thrived there due to his single digit IQ.

Scheme is one thing, and it seems that Mannion has already proven to be better schematically than Patullo.

But play calling is the other 50% of what an OC is judged upon.

The Packers play calling at times was almost as stupid as the Eagles'. I think that was their problem. For all the praise LaFleur gets, he has cost them big games by abandoning the run and just deciding not to give the ball to his best playmakers.

I swear in the modern NFL it's more important to not be blatantly stupid than it is to be innovative. Many coaches have completely lost their sense for the flow of a game and how to manage things outside of Xs and Os like the score, clock, and game situations.

If the Eagles can get back to running the ball, and just avoid punching themselves directly in the balls with absurd playcalling, any statistics they put up will not be empty stats and they will be back among the top offenses.

Another way they are stupid is forcing players into a "system", instead of calling plays that utilize player's strengths.

The June optimism always fascinates me. We are assuming that we already have a slam dunk system that makes the questionable pass catching talent greater than the sum of its parts, schemes everyone open, and will transform the offense despite the departure of AJ Brown and the addition of nothing but rookies.

This is a decisively bad offense until proven otherwise…

It wouldn't surprise me if that in time, Hurts and Brown's friendship rekindles itself now they will get the space and time away from a high pressured sporting environment, and very much one where they are dependent on each other for success. That builds tension, esp when success is not linear.

Plenty of friendships drift or stop; part of life. I've had a long term friendship drift to a close over the past few ears. Nothing bad, but I guess we both moved on in our lives.
