The whole "let Russ cook" thing started around 2020 and each year was worse. Ended up on 4 teams in a 6 year span after that. He also doesn't have great accolades. He has a lot of pro bowls but only 1 second team all pro. Just feels like his success was very reliant on the situation around him.Agree. Like being on a team with a legendary defense. Though it actually didn't last long

June 4Jun 4 Why not be optimistic? The team that just won the Superbowl overhauled their offense to a Shanahan type scheme and did it in 1st season pretty seamlessly... and won with Sam Darnold. 😅 On top of that, Howie just about aced this offseason by fixing what was broken all across the board. My only questions really are if Jurgens & Dickerson can rebound, the safety position & Missy. Feel pretty good about everything else.
June 4Jun 4 I think people are over-selling AJ Brown's importance in the offense over the past couple of seasons. He only went over 100 yards in a game 5 times in each season and the eye test shows he wasn't fully motivated or engaged, especially in the latter part of last season. I'm going to lean a bit into the Mike Singletary approach and say I'd rather move forward with 11 guys who are all committed -- even though I'll back off the "Can't do it!" portion, as the Eagles did win in 2024.If the offense struggles this season, it won't be because of a lack of talent or ability. They still have Smith, Lemon, Wicks, Hollywood Brown as WR1-4 and Goedert as a solid TE. Barkley is still very good; he and Smith will be counted on to lead. OL performance will be a huge factor and, as far as I can tell, they should all be ready for Week 1. IMO, knowing what we know now, both Dickerson and Jurgens should have started last season on PUP.The NE radio show I watched yesterday had a panel discussion and none of those guys had AJ Brown as a top 10 NFL WR at this point in his career. A couple of them had him just outside in the 11-12 range while another had him ranked 15th. One of the panelists said he was told by coaches that DeVonta Smith influenced NFL defensive formations last season, while AJ Brown did not.

We are assuming that we already have a slam dunk system that makes the questionable pass catching talent greater than the sum of its parts, schemes everyone open, and will transform the offense despite the departure of AJ Brown and the addition of nothing but rookies. This is a decisively bad offense until proven otherwise…This team has never had a truly deep WR corps, and they dont need pne because Hurts never goes to WR3 anyway. You still have smitty, goeddert, and barkley. Stowers and Lemon only need to replace AJ's 2025 production which was trash. The optimism is because there's really no way that they hired some as clueless as patullo, so there's nowhere to go but up. Obviously AJ is better than lemon and stowers when he cares to play, but AJ half assing is not.

June 4Jun 4 Honestly, the whole season to me comes down to the health and depth of the offensive line. Running injured versions of Dickerson and Jurgens out there last year was the biggest issue - our line went from best in the league to objectively bad. Mailata wasn't as good, Lane missed a ton of games, and Dickerson and Jurgens were shells of themselves. If the line is healthier and just back to being a very good unit, the offense will be vastly improved before considering the OC change.

It's gotten better in the last few days, but the amount of soft losers that were giving this malcontent, phony bish a pass was embarrassing.

Maybe don't think everyone is trying to one up you all the time in the future and honestly asking a question 🤷♂️

I didn’t actually say that was my answer. I would’ve if he played 10 years as i blanked he was 2nd to russelll. i went with pace but i could remember if at the end he played for another team and if wasn’t him aikman.

Seattle was 6th in YPG in 2025 (285.6) and 1st in PPG (17.2). If you remove week 18 for the 2024 Chiefs when all backups played (and they got waxed 38-0), the starters gave up 18.0 PPG in 16 games. So Seattle was a little better. I know you have an obvious agenda, but try and be a little honest. The Chiefs had an excellent defense in 2024.And the Chiefs sold out to stop Barkley and dared Hurts to beat them, which he did. Granted, our defense scored a TD and had two more turnovers that put the offense in plus territory that led to easy points.
June 4Jun 4 If you took the current WRs and put them on the Rams with McVay and Stafford I don't think the group would be great, but they would be fine. Far from the best in the league, far from the worst. I think Wicks and Hollywood kinda suck, but they can "do things" Devonta is really good, Lemon I don't think is going to be special, but I think he'll be good. With a great QB, a great scheme, and a team that can run the ball, they'd suffice. It's less the WRs and more that they are trying to redo this thing on the fly. Taking a QB who I think is in obvious decline, and instead of building a system around the players, this is clearly the system Howie and Lurie want to run. Which is fine, it's a very successful system, I'm just not sure they have the personnel to run it at the capacity they want to. This offseason felt more like painting over the cracks in the foundation to see if it'll be good enough to "pass inspection" and if it doesn't, then they tear down the foundation and rebuild it(the personnel on offense) from scratch.

Was a video breaking down that long touchdown pass to Devonta. he took a couple of guys with him just based off his presence. I think the production you can kind of make up because I do think they have talented players. But i do wonder if teams at first try to force the eagles to beat them in the passing game by simply forcing them to go to those other guys and trying to take away devonta
