That proven track record includes, among others, Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, and quite a few others. I will concede mixed bag but proven track record of sucking is a gross mischaracterization. For most GMs it’s a mixed bag, Howie included.

He got a promotion when he went to the Bears. Baltimore didn’t let him go. Gross mischacterization. Out and out falsehood, in fact. Not to mention that he wasn’t GM there but a scout, hired at age 23.

There’s a lot to unpack with the Jets but when your picks are overruled by teenagers using Madden, well, that’s why they’re the Jets. Again, stuff and nonsense.

I think you’re off base about Hurts, as we all know, but this thing with Douglas is much worse and irrational to boot.

Wow. I think Hurts is more debatable.

He was supposed to be a big thing in Baltimore. They had a GM considered near done. They would have retained them if they cared to.

Any time he has landed a big job, he fails. Let him go doesnt mean fired. It means the team let him go elsewhere. Every team lets him leave. Because he stinks.

Others agree with me, not excited to see him back. Its not just me being crazy. Im just paying attention.

My concern with the draft is they went into clearly targeting offensive players in a draft that wasn't that great for those players. That being said, I like the first 2 picks. I think Stowers has great athletic upside and may end up as a top 5 TE in the League. Uar Bernard was also a good pick from an investment standpoint.

I like it enough.

In the end it's like Eh... this could be pretty good.

Its not like OMGzzz Holy cow!! Howie crushed it again!!!!@@

So, we will see how it goes but it definitely has a different feel than the others and it may not be coincidence. It may be the Joe Douglas sucks effect.

Maybe the Joe Douglas hire was a 4D chess move by Howie. If this year's draft sucks, it's on Joe Douglas. If it's great, it was all Howie.

Wouldn't be surprised if Joe Douglas was behind Stoutland leaving too. Think it's a coincidence that the relationship with Stoutland goes south the one year Joe Douglas is involved in coaching to some capacity?

Could be something there with Stout...

Whyd they put some failed scout on my coaching staff? Would be a fair question. And how about it, the OL stunk last year too. Why does everything he touches stink?

At this point I'd have more respect for Vrabel if he divorced his wife rather than pretend his multi-year affair was the issue. As for Russini unless she's a beard for husband and he didn't care then she's just a vile person. People have affairs but an affair while you're pregnant (and yes who is the father?) is low

Gosh. And injuries and bad play calling are Joe’s fault too, no doubt. Is there no villainy to which he does not sink?

People really need to stop defending Embiid. He’s the reason the team doesn’t win. Collangello’s wife was right 10 years ago

I don't think so. Hes a bad apple.

As a person, I feel bad. As a fan, you can't have him on your team and expect to win championships.

Anyone been over to the aborted fetus blog over in 411 recently? Almost 3000 pages deep. Lot of grammatical errors that are driving me out of my mind.

No but sounds like the perfect place for you

I feel like I missed a lot today

Why did Howie bring back Joe Douglas and promote him to Senior VP of player personnel if he had a front row seat to Douglas supposedly being terrible here?

Why did AJ Brown want to play with Jalen Hurts?

Friends...

Akers Jr. is more a punter and a warm body for camps.

Both kickers were invitees to Rookie Camp. Neither are signed with the Birds and unless that happens, won’t be at any future camps.

Let’s lean into that. So AJ sees up close that Hurts isn’t a good enough QB for him and decides he wants out. Howie sees up close that Douglas is doing a bad job. Yet Howie, instead of moving on, actively brings him back and elevates him to a high profile position because they’re friends? You can’t think of any other reasons he might want him back?

You keep trying to have a serious discussion with a thoroughly unserious person.

I am not sure how she is any worse than Vrabel in this. Naming the kid after Vrabel is crazy. I can't imagine their spouses didn't know something was going on during this time. I doubt it's the only time they have cheated on their partners.

On a private boat, while she was preggers evidently.

Howie doesn't know ball.

She’s worse because she literally just got married when she cheated and was pregnant. Just get divorced. She started her marriage cheating

He’s like Wentz if Wentz didn’t get so much worse but always missed or was knocked out of the playoffs and started missing more and more regular season games

The Eagles posted a longer draft video on the app.

He has a title..it could be putting him in good graces around the league. Thats a favor from a friend. Like coaches keeping bad coaches around. Dont act like this stuff doesnt happen all the time.

It doesnt mean hes doing big time things here because he has a big title. They made him part coach last year for heaven's sake. They didn't even create a full pretend scout role for him. It was more like, try this maybe this is something you can be good at instead.

The Embiid stuff is one of the biggest what ifs ever. His peak ability is GOAT level.

Really hard to wrap your head around all these injuries. Made of complete glass. He has been really unlucky too though.
