Agreed. It makes me think they didn't get the players they wanted like last year. In 2024 they were happy with nearly every pick

I didn't get that impression at all. They seemed really fired up about Lemon and Stowers. And honestly I think they really like Bell. Actually last year outside of Campbell I got the impression they were pretty subdued about the rest of the picks. I think they wanted to come out of the 2nd round last year with a TE or Edge and Mukuba felt like a pick where they had to settle and reach a bit. And Howie's comments since last year's drafts indicate it with some of the things he's said about wanting to trade up, not being able to, guys they wanted being gone, etc. But I think they legitimately got guys they really wanted this year.

I can’t get over how terrible the Eagles all-access video was. It was mostly regurgitated draft calls. The only thing mildly interesting was the red star meeting. They completely mailed it in.

No surprise Joe Douglas is back and the videos go downhill.

A WR3, TE2 and OL lottery ticket... c'mon guys let's get some energy for the cameras, see Joe's excited.

The dude that asked left for a career change is the one who gave Stowers as his red star player.

No surprise we didnt see Joe Douglas' red star player. That guy probably didnt get drafted because he sucks because Joe cant identify talent if he isnt picking in the top 3 with the Jets.

Addressing some of the stuff over the last couple of days

Howie’s offseason: Upgraded the pass rush. Safety is deeper than most suspect. Somehow they lost Dean in free agency and may be deeper at ILB. Woolen >>>>Jackson. Interesting IPP additions. Replaced Patrick Johnson with James-Newby. Ways deeper WR room at the moment. Lemon >>>>>Dotson. Heck Elijah Moore is better than Ainias Smith or that "RS” we had last year. Solved the loss of Stoll. Think that may up being Wright.mmgreat UDFA signing. Stowers >>>>>>Calcaterra. Like the OL room. If Morris takes coaching, what a heck of a steal. Four, G/Ts in the room as I imagine they will cross train Williams, Hinton, Fred already is, Pierce. Ball is a mountain of a man. Resigned Mann. New LS that hopefully meshes with both kickers. I would give Howie an A and he isn’t finished yet.

OC and offensive changes. Sorry to see Stout go. Like the assistant hires but Kuper needs to prove it. This nonsense that Howie missed on targeted OCs. Daboll was never coming as he wanted more control than the Eagles would ever afford him. Anyone watch how Daniels succeeds with the Colts but not the gints? But we didn’t get McLaughlin. Did anyone watch the Dolphins? Instead we got Mannion. Oh no he hasn’t been an OC. He’s been closer to play calling for a dozen of years than most OC assistants as the back up with headphones and a clipboard. Plus Grizzard plus Mayo. Fits to concensus and job split approach. B+ only because unproven.

Front office adds. Interesting that Matt Leo has advanced so quickly. Joe Douglas. The Eagles have refined their draft approach since he was last here. Focus on production enhanced with athletic traits and coachability. He has a decent eye unless Julian starts mirroring Woody’s son (grandson?) use of Madden. Svenson is home grown as are most of the Pro Scouts. So is Reiter. Wolking moves up. More analytics and video staff. Hale strengthens the Strength and Training staff rather than replaces. From Notre Dame. Maccagnan is a well seasoned vet of the scouting area with stops in Washington last century, building the Texans and yes, a stint with the Jets. Real happy to see Berry replacing Halaby. Suspect that is an improvement. I do wonder who the expert is in interpretation of the rules and contracts. Some of the best contract folks I know weren’t lawyers but I suspect there may be a lawyer lurking somewhere. The Eagles legal staff is three people. Curious about the General Counsel’s role. HR too. A- only for the loss of Johnston.

And for the bad, Miyah, Kelsey and Molly promise to bring more drivel to my Twitter D-

Growing online speculation that this is Mike Vrabel's burner account. Created in 2022 and does nothing but defend Vrabel.

This is a cool story, kid wears a size 23. Shaq helped him get clears that actually fit and told his mother he’ll make sure the kid always has shoes that fit.

Shaq is a generous man, he bought a place in Rockwall on the lake a year or so ago. It’s not uncommon for him to show up at a local Walmart and buy all kinds of things for local families in need around Christmas and when the school year is starting.

When ai was in college, I worked my way through in a grocery store. (Red Adair had his building in the same area and told the best off color jokes). We had several basketball players that shopped there. Ralph Sampson, who you could see over the top of the shelves. Elvin Hayes was a favorite. Nice guys. I have heard that Shaq is a nice guy. Next time I am through Rockwell, I may stop at the Walmart. (Are they still doing construction there? Was a clusterF last time I was through.

My phone in its infinite wisdom changed 19 to 20. Lanier wore a 19. I know because I was in Sherman Brothers on Samson Street when he was in there. I wear a 15. Sherman Brothers specializes in large shoe sizes. I’ve run into Charles in there more than once. Don’t recall his shoe size. Dr. J had a shoe store on 2nd street south of Market at one time. Oddly, they couldn’t fit me.

Wonder if they consider Clint the heir to be now (if they don't intend on going Schwartz next year).

I saw that on YouTube yesterday. Hurtt is one freaking HUGE mother effer .... he scares me

If we’re talking about nice guys I have to give a shout out to former Eagle FB Cecil Martin. When he was drafted by the Birds he was living in his car. Po James was po but Cecil was more po. I was doing some research back then at the public library and he was there almost daily reading to kids in the children’s section. A very quiet and humble man but a hug from him was like being embraced by a trash compactor.

Man the I-30 corridor from Rockwall to Greenville is an absolute $hit show...40 minute drive from RC to Rockwall to go eat during the evening or on a weekend, that used to be a 15 minute drive. Luckily I work from home and don't have to commute into Richardson anymore. I-30 is being widened on that stretch. I really really want to move east to the Mt Pleasant/Mt Vernon area but will have to wait another 5 years likely...can't beat the pine trees and laid back atmosphere and good affordable golf courses of east/ne Texas.

Looked at the Patriots QB depth chart and sniffed some glue:
Drake Maye

Tommy DeVito

Behren Morton

Umm..... is McKee a potential person to package in the AJ Brown trade?

Only the Eagles fans care anything about McKee.

I'd think probably not. If you package Brown and McKee you are probably giving one away for a discount. They can Dalton though.

So that's why Cowboys fans think they won the draft

Some fans are either coping or are truly delusional, and not just DAL fans (although they do have a bad reputation). I have never really been the type of fan to claim victory in a draft of any sport. I always view the draft as potential improvement, it's not until that class has succeeded or failed (2-3 years to make that determination imo) that anyone can really even make such a claim of winning the draft imo.

Highly rated draft prospects have a potential to bust and lower rated prospects have potential to be great. Obviously the higher rated prospects have a better chance of success, I read an article recently that I want to say 1st rounders are successful 50% - 60% of the time. Ryan Leaf and Jemarcus Russell immediately come to mind on the bust side, and many other QB picks recently as well. Some fans simply aren't objective and want to claim success. DAL '23 draft is dog$hit, Overshown is the talent/player exception but he can't stay healthy thus far, the '24 and '25 classes are meh. They may get 2 long term starters from each of those drafts. This past draft shows more potential than any of the last three for DAL...but again, simply potential, nothing more and nothing less.

I do still think McKee could be traded. I know Howie said they could keep 4 QBs. They aren't keeping 4 QBs. And I don't know why they'd trade for Dalton only to trade him later or cut him. Unless a team suffers an injury. But if they did and called the Eagles, the QB they'd be looking for would be McKee and not Dalton. And I guess they could cut Payton if he has a bad camp and preseason, but they used a 5th on him and he was a red star player(although I believe McCord was too... HE will blame Joe Douglas for that one) but something about Payton tells me they like him a lot more than your typical late round QB flier. Just the vibes I'm getting.

Yeh, I would expect a bigger return if McKee were included. Dalton would be an interesting player to move. I think I would want to keep him though, he has that grizzled veteran presence, had some level of success early in his career, and I could see him having that late success in his career ala Plunkett, Hostetler, or Rypien if Hurts were to go down to injury late in the year. He has experience and I believe could easily step into the spotlight without fear of the situation being too big for him.

What if Marcus Jones is part of the package back?

AJ - McKee - [Insert pick swap here]

1st - Jones - [Insert pick swap here]

Or the footage wasn't interesting enough, or there were strategy things or things personal to the players they didn't want aired.

This type of access and behind the scenes in draft rooms is relatively new. We should be thankful to get any of it at all. If other teams share more that's their decision.

Fans overanalyze and over speculate on things too much.
