The team did their best to maximise their assets in a draft that lacked depth in it. It wasn't going to be perfect, but you can fairly say they at least didn't draft players for the sake of it. At this moment, we can be thankful that we aren't the Niners

They do still need that speed wr. Probably at X at this point. Wanted Bryce Lance. Now we have to wait for Henry Ruggs to get out of jail.

I know some people will say Smith is that guy. (Citing the dagger in the SB). But we all know that’s not his week in, week out jam. He’s a route technician, not someone that pushes DBs on their heels and safeties deep or is going to push for the league lead in 20+ yard rec.

With Devonta/AJ, the Eagles had a 2 WR offense, which worked because they were both well rounded and outstanding…and because Hurts and the OCs didn’t really care to involve a 3rd wr. (Wasn’t that necessary either). Before that era (and now), they’ve always cared enough about a pure deep wr to put one on the roster, but never enough to actually invest in a good one. (The proud lineage of Torrey Smith —> Mike Wallace —> Desean 2.0 and now Hollywood Brown).

They did draft Reagor for that in round 1, but he ended up being neither good nor fast.

Anyone been over to the aborted fetus blog over in 411 recently? Almost 3000 pages deep. Lot of grammatical errors that are driving me out of my mind.

With all that said, even in his 3 years of MVP level play, he was never ever healthy for playoffs. Never once in his career could he be counted on.

Him being counted on was always going to be an issue. since Kansas when he came into the league with major durability and injury concerns. Imo the bigger letdown than Embiid’s health is from when Hinkie took over to drafting of Maxey, the only 1st round pick that actually hit big was Embiid. Simmons, shamet and korkmaz are battling for second best.

Other than the 3rd round RB that the 9ers always take, I don't mind what they did. Lemon has a nice floor, but I think Stribling has more upside - now that I said this, hopefully he doesn't get shot in a robbery attempt.

Me every time something new drops about Vrabel and Russini

Who posted that graphic a little while back ranking the best WRs on out breaking routes. Back when Harmon and Tice were saying how the eagles offense will be awesome because Mannion can still chop out the middle of the field for Hurts and these WRs they have now thrive on those out breakers....

Diggs was like, top 3 in the NFL on that list, and is still a free agent after a really good season. And he crushed the charges against him in court.

Im thinking we should sign him.

They aren't gonna sign Diggs

I don't think that matters.

Imagine getting stepped on by an 18.5 foot (London, so have to wonder if European shoe size referenced). Got to imagine when he plants he is rooted.

Bob Lanier wore a 20. Shak wears a 22.

This is a cool story, kid wears a size 23. Shaq helped him get clears that actually fit and told his mother he’ll make sure the kid always has shoes that fit.

Shaq is a generous man, he bought a place in Rockwall on the lake a year or so ago. It’s not uncommon for him to show up at a local Walmart and buy all kinds of things for local families in need around Christmas and when the school year is starting.

That should read cleats, not clears…Sorry @hputenis , I can’t edit the misspelling 😂.

F it, here's what I want from the sixers:

Go down 3-1 to the knicks, win game 7

Go down 3-1 in the ECF, win game 7

Go down 3-1 in the finals, win game 7

Ultimate "rocky" team and Dave Potnoy gets a sixers neck tattoo. Extra bonus is because it puts that scumbag on a rollercoaster the whole time.

Slow news day. Here’s a list of some of the best semi recent Phillly athletes to never win a title. Rank them based on how favorable their legacy should be (best to least) and then by how frustrating it is that they came up short. I list them in no particular order:

AI

Barkley

Embiid

Mcnabb

Dawkins

Lindros

Roy Halladay

Bryce Harper

The Colts do an awesome job with this every year.

I get some of the criticism about how she has done things since taking over, but this is a breathe of fresh air for Colts fans. Going from Jim (addiction is a terrible thing) to this, someone actively getting involved and trying to learn how things work.

Would be an epic run if that were to happen, put $10 on that hapening may end up making some pretty good Christmas money. Probably put some Sixer fans in the hospital and/or give some cardiologists new patients as well.

I can’t get over how terrible the Eagles all-access video was. It was mostly regurgitated draft calls. The only thing mildly interesting was the red star meeting. They completely mailed it in.

Agreed. It makes me think they didn't get the players they wanted like last year. In 2024 they were happy with nearly every pick

Unless your team really sucks the draft has to be, to a greater or lesser degree, a study in disappointment.

I think two years ago they didn't trade up in rd 1 so they were able to trade up in other rounds. When you trade up you're getting someone you really wanted. This year that happened in rd 1 then they spent the rest of their ammo on Greenard. Those 2 additions are/could be huge. Just makes the rest of the picks we'll take whoever is left from who we like. It's fine but not exciting

So that's why Cowboys fans think they won the draft
