They had Jeremy Fowler on ESPN radio this morning and he said that Hurts ranking was 17 I believe.

I’m far from a Hurts fanboy, but any list with Jordan Love over him is BS

I think Jordan Love is certainly more talented. He's been more productive and efficient than you'd think. But it seems like at completely random he'll have a dud of a game or a dude of a half. I think his ceiling is much higher than Hurts though I think I'd take him and trust Howie to put the talent around him to get the high end version of him, which I believe is much higher than Hurts.

Caleb Williams at 10 is some projection. Mahomes should not be in the top 10.

Looks like the league executives, coaches & scouts are not as enamored with Hurts as the fan boys on this message board. 17 is a little low, but I would take the entire top 10 over Hurts without a second thought.

Hurts has never really done well in these anonymous league executives, scouts, coaches etc polls so it's not that surprising.

I’d be curious how many of the "unranked” QBs are first round picks on rookie deals versus vets on discount-ish deals versus vets on max-ish qb deals.

If I were picking between the two for a big game I’m taking Hurts over Mayfield because he has played well in big games.

Every list this time of year is so subjective and to a degree useless. Nothing but content as the Mark’s mention. Wins and losses, the ability to win big games in January, that’s where it’s at, results. I don’t care about rankings, any ranking, team or individual, produce when it matters…

He was ranked 3rd a couple of years ago. These stupid rankings only tell you how even league executives are full of biases. I guess that's why many of them lose their jobs every offseason.

I’m not a Purdy guy. We saw Garoppolo make multiple NFCCG’s right before him in the same offense, and then Mac Jones sub for him this year and have an identical season. I’m not saying he’s generic, but I think there’s a reason more than him that a Mr Irrelevant pick is playing so well so quickly

I think he is too high and Darnold is far too low. Darnold’s TD-INT ratio the last 2 seasons is 60-26. League leader in completion %, back to back 4000 yard seasons. Same players and coaches that made McCarthy and Wentz and Geno look like bums. He’s been playing beyond just a product of a system, kind of the opposite of Purdy

It's probably mostly about taxes and liability. It makes it harder to pierce the corporate veil (if you're into that sort of thing).
