I don't know how good these past two drafts will end up being but at the very least, I don't think we got immediate big impact guys like we did those previous drafts.

We were used to every draft producing multiple instant starters. They had their first and second round picks starting at the beginning of the year. By the end of the year both were out of the lineup. Mukuba was due to injury but I’d argue his replacement was actually better. That draft just wasn’t ready to perform as rookies. It happens. This draft definitely isn’t going to offer much from the rookies. I’d wager their best play is going to come from Bell at RT when he has to fill in.

I think several of both QBs throws that missed were spot/timing throws. What we don’t know is if that is on the receiver, QB or both. The Covey miss was pretty apparent as Covey doing it.

21 hours ago21 hr So with the talk about how pretty much everyone is confused at how the Eagles have handled the backup QB position this offseason it makes me think back to last year and how with so many things last year you were left scratching your head too. Them running AJ Dillon out there every game where the dude was running in quicksand, he couldn't even hit the holes while they were open let alone do something with the ball after that. They trade for Bigsby and it took them several weeks to figure out how to use him. Remember they had him out there trying to return kicks and it felt like every kick he touched he dropped. They could never get the offense going all season in any capacity.I have no idea how much this QB thing is driven by Howie but over the past year it feels like a lot of things particularly on the offensive side of the ball have not been buttoned up. Just a lot of dysfunction. A coach who prides himself on "Tough, detailed, together" and they were none of those things last season. For Sirianni's sake once the regular season starts they better look a lot more buttoned up than last year and hope that the preseason is exactly that... just preseason, because if things look dysfunctional again once the games start, it's gonna reflect poorly on him.
