(for mature posters only)I've seen him mentioned as a possibility in this trade.I do, I think he is a nice player to have and deepens that room. Not that I am demanding him, but if they are looking to off load him, sure I'd take him. Still on his rookie contract too.

They already gave Wicks $12.5M and, coincidentally, that’s Spotrac’s market value as a UFA after the season. Is he going to show enough (or anything) to make anyone think he’s worth that as a re-sign? He’s not needed here on the current depth chart. Bring back a young roster player at a position where he can compete and contribute.I think they still have hopes for Wilson as well. Boutte would be a waste to include in the trade unless you banking on trading him this year for extra draft capital
May 31May 31 Figures the June 1st starting bell is 4pm. Howie is going to overshadow my baseball state playoff game with AJ Brown news.

Consider he is easily a top 3 WR in our history and was a major factor in how we became a dominant team, i'd assume you loved this guy 2022, 2023, 2024 seasons...Unless you just became a fan last year. His nonsense last year really tarnished his reputation for me.

June 1Jun 1 I know a lot of people here don’t like Banner, but I’ve very much enjoyed his post-career football tidbitsIf he says it’s done, his conjecture is more valuable than most@LeanMeanGM also sorry about the blank ping, this site is horrible on mobile
June 1Jun 1 2027 draft seems like it's going to be very good. 2028 seems more like a roll of the dice gamble

I argued with that clown throughout the season as he insisted that Brown didn't want out, wasn't getting traded, and the whole thing was made up by WIP. Now he is going to pretend like that never happened. There's a reason he is the laughing stock of the blog.

Getting a first round pick for him (especially since he wants out and the Pats and Rams were the only teams who were serious about trading for him ) is just gravy.

Its like buying an expensive car, driving it a few years, and selling it for nearly as much as you bought it for. So in the end you can say you owned a corvette for only 5,ooo dollars for instance. Thats nice. But if the market dictates that your corvette actually appreciated and you sell it for less than you paid for, you havent maximized the value. So, thats the negative aspect which exists as well. In this case, AJ isnt worth more than we paid initially, but you should be able to get more than just a future 1st. I see no reason to accept less than his value. The price for Waddle dictates that AJ Brown is unquestionably worth more than just 1 future 1st and nothing else.

If other teams valued Brown as much as they did Waddle he would get traded for as much as Waddle did. The market itself dictates Brown's value and considering there were only two teams who ever seriously got involved despite Howie having several months to work a deal I think the market spoke pretty loudly and we are lucky to be getting a first. There was a lot of talk earlier in the off-season that the Eagles wouldn't get a first round pick. Either way I will take four prime years of AJ Brown and a SB win for the overall cost of a 3rd round pick any day of the week. To be fair I am not jumping for joy and calling it some amazing deal to get a 2028 first for Brown. I was hoping for that and a 2027 third but under the circumstances I think Howie did a decent job.
