There is always the top rage bait: QB controversy. Or why isn't (insert young player) getting a new contract extension yet?Or trade rumors for Garrett, Crosby, or anyone else.

The market itself dictates Brown's value and considering there were only two teams who ever seriously got involved despite Howie having several months to work a deal I think the market spoke pretty loudly and we are lucky to be getting a first. There was a lot of talk earlier in the off-season that the Eagles wouldn't get a first round pick. Either way I will take four prime years of AJ Brown and a SB win for the overall cost of a 3rd round pick any day of the week. To be fair I am not jumping for joy and calling it some amazing deal to get a 2028 first for Brown. I was hoping for that and a 2027 third but under the circumstances I think Howie did a decent job.The issue has always been the dead money on any deal prior to June 1st. There are teams that don't want to wait that long or get out bid for a player after the draft. The Bills, for example, traded a 2nd for a DJ Moore, who is a less productive receiver. I think that deal happens instead of a trade for Brown because they do not want to lose out on a player. Waddle, a less productive receiver, was traded for 2 picks and a swap of picks because the deal could be made prior to the draft. The loss of value in this trade really has to do with the timing of when the Eagles want to make it. I do think there may be more of a market than just the Patriots.

And when you're reading this I'm probably running back to the toilet....whoever created Suprep should be killed!I mean the procedure itself isn't bad. The propofol will knock you out. I woke up about 30 mintues after the procedure, went home, had a big breakfast and then slept most of the day.

They lost Hawkins in FA. They signed Byard but they have no depth at the position. If it's for a player my guess is Boutte.

That's excellent options and flexibility for Howie.I feel like it's not talked about enough, but the fact that Howie has job security for life is the best advantage a GM can possibly have, and a sign of what a great owner Lurie is. Most GM's have to win now or next season, and if not, they're fired. They can't ever trade for future picks or set the organization up for long-term success. Meanwhile, Howie wheels and deals for future deals nonstop. It's the best.
