So this team had one of the greatest positional coaches of all time. He had a down year so let's alienate him and chase him away. How's that look now?

Football is blocking and tackling.

All the other stuff is gravy.

The defense looked miles better than the week before but still made too many mistakes.

The offense simply cant block and that was there downfall.

When McKee had a little bit of time he made sone throws but for the most part he had zero time even when they rushed 4 they got pressure.

The o line failed to open any holes In the run game as well

If you cant block you cant win

Pretty sure no teams moved until they expanded to 32 teams. Jags and Panthers took them from 28 to 30. Falcons should've still been in the West when the Panthers joined the West.

You’re right. I looked it up. In 2002, they switched to the current format when the Texans were added. I completely forgot those divisional Eagles Cardinals matchups featuring Jake Plummer.

I know the Eagles have said to Saquon they’re not gonna trade him but there’s been reports last night and this morning of the Broncos and Seahawks going to go in heavy on Jonathan Taylor and colts willing to deal him. To the point where I think the Colts are going to trade Jonathan Taylor. One of those teams is going to wind up being disappointed and not getting him. I wonder if they would try to pivot to the Eagles and maybe slightly overpay to try and get Saquon.

Feels like a full circle kind of moment

I thought cap implications made Barkley essentially unmoveable?

The 2026 eagles look a lot like the 1998 Eagles. They are that bad. McKey might be as bad as Bobby Hoying was, and Sirianni is not as good of a coach as Ray Rhodes. I see maybe one more win on this schedule, that being against the Colts who are one of the few teams as bad as they are.

I don't even know it's the protection scheme.

OL struggle to communicate, and slide over to pick up a blitz.

Mitchell tries hard, but not exactly the RB I want in pass protection.

And without a decent RB, teams simply don't respect the run. You could see the difference in the 1st half before Barkley breaks down.

Mitchell/Blue wouldn't see the field until the 2nd half of a preseason game. Cooper/Lemon need time to get open. Goedert now a backup blocking TE (i.e. lacks any sort of burst).

When that's your skill people, behind a limited and inexperienced OL, pray for the QB.

Biggest disappointment is Steen, who has failed to improve in 3 seasons.

Kuper had similar issues last year in Minnesota, which is why he was available…

That win over Tennessee is gonna be a costly one.

They'll win more games than the Eagles they're playing better. I worry about the Colts, Jets, Chargers more.

His contract makes it super hard to trade him. But at the same time the Eagles could use that to their advantage to make a team overpay for him as they’ll say he’s clearly talented but it screws with their cap situation to do so.

Lucky for us we got an Xmas eve game at the linc!

hard to believe someone could actually been worse than huff.

Huge swing and a miss by Howie

We also need the cowboys go get a few more wins to keep the Giants competitive in our week 18 game so they dont rest starters.

Do you think it matters if they rest starters?

Barkley looks and probably is cooked. Nobody wants him.

Firing Nick during the season does absolutely nothing. He’s earned the right to be ceremoniously dismissed in the offseason. Tossing him now doesn’t solve anything so might as well just ride it out. And at this rate they will stay in the top 5 draft pick range.

I’d disagree he’s cooked. ZB brings up his analytics every week on his pod. He’s anything but cooked according to the analytics. Issue is he’s not healthy. frankly he shouldn’t be playing. Add on the oline has been bad run blocking

I’m curious how Lurie sees the Stoutland situation. We know that he gave Chip enough rope to hang himself. Sirianni and Co stripped Stout of run game duties that led to him walking away. Was this the banishing Howie to the other side of the building moment for Nick?

Given that Nick is the reason they lost Stout, and we know both Jeff/Howie love Stout, there's no way they're happy.

Time to let Nick go (at the end of the season, don't want the new coach win bump)

Ojomo could be in play for the jags

No way is he getting a paid vacation, Nick can suffer through the remainder of this season like the rest us (9 more games, good grief).

Love Devonta. He’s a no. 1 wr but I’d argue theres tiers to no. 1 WRs. Like jsn and Chase might be on another planet compared to any other no. 1 WRs. Nacua is probably close to them when he’s healthy. I’d say next tier of no. 1 WRs are St. Brown, Nacua (if he stayed healthy I’d have him with Jsn and Chase), lamb and Jefferson (albeit Murray and his Qb situation is killing him). I’d say the next tier is where Devonta is. With guys like London, Higgins, flowers, Watson (this year— wouldn’t say for his career yet), Garrett Wilson and olave.

I’d have had aj brown prior to the past two years in the tier below jsn and chase.

I was told he'd easily replace AJ's stats. Breakout season and can't even stay on the field

In fairness he’s replaced AJ’s stats from this year. He’s actually tripled AJ’s production from 2026 lol

With Daron Payne out, the DT trade market is now Grover Stewart and Moro Ojomo.

I tapped out early 3rd quarter. How was the defense? Looks like Commies got a FG in the 3rd and 11 points in the 4th
