Ojomo could be in play for the jags

They wanted DT help before this injury too. I don’t think Moro is a direct replacement for Hamilton though.

So, who the heck is this MJ "voice of the fan” guy on the PHLY postgame podcast? Is he some YouTuber?

Ojomo is definitely not a one for one replacement for Hamilton. Frankly not sure that guy exists on the trade market. However i do think his injury helps the eagles leverage in getting more from them

Football is blocking and tackling.

All the other stuff is gravy.

The defense looked miles better than the week before but still made too many mistakes.

The offense simply cant block and that was there downfall.

When McKee had a little bit of time he made sone throws but for the most part he had zero time even when they rushed 4 they got pressure.

The o line failed to open any holes In the run game as well

If you cant block you cant win

Maybe running the ball behind TE's and WRs that cannot make their assigned blocks in tight formations isn't a strategy for success.

I was told he'd easily replace AJ's stats. Breakout season and can't even stay on the field

Devonta has 2 tds and 300 yards and AJ has 0 TDs and 100 yards.

Yup I thought mundt would be a good blocker but hes been awful.

It seems like he had a seem route to Cooper that would have been wide open if he just came back to it. Also, why is Stowers route just to sit down in front of the coverage. Why not have him keep going across to potentially have the ability to run after the catch.

Will he only have 2TDs and 300 yds for the season?

I’d disagree he’s cooked. ZB brings up his analytics every week on his pod. He’s anything but cooked according to the analytics. Issue is he’s not healthy. frankly he shouldn’t be playing. Add on the oline has been bad run blocking

Injuries happen when you're cooked.

I don't think it's just because he forgot how to block. I think they do a really poor job designing the play to get him natural leverage. They also don't seem to coach to the defense they are playing.

The Eagles are at the worst when they go away from their model of success and panic. Panic moves the Eagles made going back to over a year ago:

Jihaad Campbell pick - team never drafts off ball LB in round 1. Decided to take one. Either an overreaction to the Dean injury or to appease Fangio. Instead of investing in premium positions.

Andrew Mukuba pick - tried to trade up multiple times per reports, couldn't, so panicked and were like "crap, we need a safety, let's take that safety here" as no one had a 2nd round grade on Mukuba.

Hiring Mannion - Tried to get multiple higher profile OCs, got rejected, ended up going with the first Shanahan mold guy they could find... who had zero OC experience and next to no coaching experience at all. I'm stunned things haven't looked great!

Allowed Stoutland to be ousted... in favor of Chris Kuper - panicked over the offense, stripped run game coordinator away from Stoutland, annoyed him, then tried to keep him around just as OL coach, then had to pivot to Chris Kuper

The Stowers pick - missed out on multiple TEs the past couple drafts, and when you needed a well rounded TE who could block and catch, you took a major project convert in round 2 who is a horrendous blocker and passed on more premium positions.

The Bell pick - missed out on some OTs the past couple drafts so you panic took a mountain of an OT in round 3 who doesn't even fit the new scheme you adopted in round 3.

Have played injured guys all season out of panic/desperation and it's backfired in every instance

Stick to your model, Lowie.

We should trade for their OC. Udinski should be at the top of the potential HC candidates.

Influencer I think, he's awful. They probably decided they need to get in on those influencer views. Half the people they bring on their shows don't even work for or cover football. It's just random people off the street. And then Vinny Curry who may be the worst media person in sports history.

That outside zone run where Barkley had 4 defenders in the backfield was probably one of the worst designed, executed, blocked plays ive ever seen.

I mean Kenny gainwell had 140 rush yards yesterdayTampa ran the balll over 50 times yesterday and this O cant get 50 total. Its the worst designed blocked offense in the league

Don't really care since he's not on the team anymore. I was told he would be able to replace the production we've had from AJ. This was his breakout year

So Devonta is cooked? Ya i don’t buy that at 29 when he looks good when he was healthy. No offense a lot of NFL teams are analytically driven. So if the analytics are saying, he’s like a top five running back when he’s healthy and playing then I don’t think he’s cooked. he had an injury and the eagles were stupid in how they brought him back and he shouldn’t have been playing

At least our defense only played 60 snaps.

Too bad they still looked tired

I disagree on 3 of the picks. I think the Campbell pick was to replace Dean. They knew Dean was likely going to leave via FA. It is a position of need. He was a highly rated prospect. He was likely the BPA when they drafted. He was drafted into a scheme that needs to rely on good LB play. He was a miss of an evaluation not a panic move. Bell looks to be a decent pick. He is in a bad situation because we lost Stoutland. I don't think he's a bad fit for the scheme. He just needs time to develop. Mailata used to get beat routinely by speed rushers early in his career. He worked on it and now he's an elite OT. Bell shows promise at times and looks like a rookie at other times. Stowers was a TE pick for a scheme that doesn't value blocking. He fit the mold of the LJ Smith/Goedert type athleticism at the position without having the functional ability for the role. I don't think he was a panic pick and I feel certain they would have taken him regardless of who else was available. The problem was they have not drafted anyone else for the position in years. The position is compromised of one starter who can no longer block and not a single other decent player.

A distinction needs to be made between what’s left of AJ Brown and what the offense came to depend on from him.

AJ fell off a cliff and it was great to trade him away. Doesn’t mean Devonta is a real #1 or they don’t miss what AJ once brought.

The Eagles have needed LBs in the past though and hadn't taken an off ball LB in the 1st round since the 70s. It's just not something they do. They usually go premium position or if LB is best on their board, they trade down for more assets. They tried to trade UP for Campbell. Even higher than they did. Maybe Bell wasn't, but I'm certain Stowers was. Dude was a very risky pick, never liked it or got it the second they made it. It felt akin to the Miles Sanders pick. They missed on RBs in two straight loaded RB draft classes, so ended up going RB in round 2 and took Sanders. I think if they had found a way to take a TE the last couple drafts there's no way they even consider Stowers this draft. It was such a ridiculous pick.

I mean you make good points but I honestly don’t think at this point AJ would make any difference at all. He looks cooked (even before the ankle). Agree Smitty is too fragile to be a main #1 but I would buy Smitty future stock over AJ.
