True. With the QBs not coming out (if true) Smith is going first. I don't see them getting that high. If they did then it would make more sense if they draft Smith, trade ours for a middle round pick and get an IOL. Not bad, but I'd be more in favor of keeping him, trading back, getting Simmons and still having an extra first in 28+ for moving back.

@Joe Ball

Sorry, this is all we have for this season

It’s all good. What another wasted year for DAL. I told my wife when the 4th qtr started DAL would find a way to lose, they didn’t disappoint. DAL deserves every bit of sh!t talk that comes their way. It’s tough being a fan.

Lots of Billy Beane wannabes in here

I never really cared for him but he won a Super Bowl and has made the playoffs every year he’s been the coach. He deserves more respect than it seems like he’s getting.

Manning makes total sense, however Mestemaker makes zero sense. He's clearly the number 1 pick, why would he risk waiting another year?

Just like Dante Moore shouldn't have gone back

You're proving my point, Devonta has been the 2nd option in a lackluster passing attack and still out up 1,000 yards in 3 different seasons. Jefferson was the only option.

And Jefferson faced the best corner almost every single game and teams were game planning to take him out as he was their biggest threat. That wasn’t the case with Smith. He always had AJ Brown except his rookie year and this year, who helped him out by being the top wide receiver on the eagles. teams also had to concern themselves with aj brown. Has had Addison and guys who are solid not great/elite like aj was. hard to put up the numbers Justin Jefferson did when teams are game planning to take you out as top guy on the team and you’re facing the top corner a majority of the time.

Can say Smith never got the opportunity play without brown (did rookie and this year), however, Jefferson has never had the opportunity to play alongside somebody like AJ Brown or as good as smith. I can make the case that would maybe open them up to seeing less doubles and less covered shifted to him. I could make an argument he could’ve had even better seasons if he had someone like that across from him as it would make it harder to defend both.

** although in early part of Justin Jefferson‘s career, he played with Adam Thielen. And Adam Thielen wasn’t washed at that point. Also Addison isn’t some scrub. He’s not a top tier or no. 1 wr but he’s also not a bum. Also dealt with hockinson having a better season in 2023 than what goedert had. Even before hockinson got hurt in 2024 hockinson was on pace for a career year.

Also, a time a couple years ago where Justin Jefferson was arguably considered by a lot of people to be the best wide receiver in the NFL. That is never been in the conversation for Smith. There’s been conversations that he is a legit number one wide receiver and have better production if aj didn’t take away some of his. But it was never been a discussion for smith ever being the top wr in the league.

No offense I am guessing most franchisees would take Justin Jefferson over Smith. There’s a reason why he was the offensive player of the year and first team all pro twice. Even if AJ Brown wasn’t here, I’m not sure Devonta Smith is getting those type of accolades. Heck I’m not sure the 4 years that AJ Brown was here if Smith was better than AJ Brown for in 2 of the 4 years. I don’t think aj in his peak was better than Justin jefferson. I’m sorry Jefferson is a better player and I love devonta.

If you’re gonna make the case that Smith had to play with AJ Brown and inferior talent at QB, then why is he not also potentially better than JSN. JSN doesn’t have anybody else really competing for targets besides old deteriorating Cooper kupp and Darnold isn’t great. So he gets forced fed a ton of targets. Yet I think we all would agree JSN is better than Devonta.

Jeremy Fowler said there is "significant interest" in Moro Ojomo. Mentioned the Jags and Vikings.

Rapsheet says multiple teams are interested in Dickerson.

Other names mentioned are Woolen and Hollwood Brown.

Fowler says there won't be a fire sale.

He isn't the right coach for this team anymore. He is not a great schemer, play-caller or some great teacher who develops young players.

What he is good at is keeping an uber talented group of players focussed, helping them drive to one goal but it needs the right staff and talent level around him. I also think he has the style and messages which would wear out over time on the players or when the winning stops.

Given all of that I don't think his strengths work well for sustaining success over a ten year period ala Andy Reid or Kyle Shanahan but he can be the guy that gets most out of a talented group and with the right supporting coaches in a given year / over 3-4 year period.

We were that team 2022 - 2025 and it worked but are not in that situation anymore,

Goedert should be the other guy moved.

Honestly OK with moving on with those 5. Ojomo is probably the only one who gets a Day 2 pick

BLG said something on the radio that I’ve been saying for a while. It may not even be that Nick deserves to be fired after missing the playoffs one time. But it’s similar to Doug. Lurie asked him to change his offensive assistants and he didn’t wanna do it.

But lurie also viewed it as it’s time to make a change to go in another direction. Lurie stated Doug probably didn’t deserve to be fired after that year with the success he had had the three previous years. But at some point, you gotta make a decision for what’s best going forward for the organization and not based off what the past was.

To me this goes further than just this year. This goes further than the injuries have mounted up and they’re just not a very good team. I think lurie wouldn’t have loved if the defense was bad like it is now but the offense was playing well, but I think Nick would’ve been ok. This goes to your passing offense in a passing league with an owner that wants to be a passing team because that’s his philosophy and it’s been either and or inconsistent for 3 years. I think he was Ok with it in 2024 because they won a Super Bowl running the way they did. I think he allowed it in 2025 because they won the Super Bowl of the year before. However, I don’t think he’s gonna stick with it now. Because this would be the third year in a row the passing game even before guys got hurt didn’t look good. And there’s no adjustments to help OL or passing attack try to make it look better.

And this doesn’t absolve the quarterback either. I think lurie loves hurts. However, he also has to be responsible to the organization. We hope gilon can come back from the blood clots. He should. However, that’s got to play some role in this. And then you gotta look at his flaws and going forward with him. I think they’ve already started to look at other quarterbacks just in case they have to as they have draft capital to do so. He’s back in 2027 contract and because I think Lurie still probably believes in him. but I don’t think he and Howie are naïve enough to not go looking and seeing what else is out there and if they love another quarterback to be the successor to him.

There is also something fundamentally broken with this passing game and there has been for several years. The only year it looked consistently good was when Steichen ran the offense. Since then the passing game has been inconsistent at best to downright terrible through Brian Johnson. Kellen Moore, Kevin Patullo, and now Sean Mannion. A lot of people pointed to Hurts as the common denominator but it has been even worse in the three games since Hurts was shut down for the season. The one common denominator is Sirianni. You can't be an offensive coach who doesn't call plays, but want to heavily meddle in the offense to the point of wanting it to look and be what your vision is. It literally makes zero sense and is a broken model from the start. Not only that I watch plenty of really bad teams around the league who are still able to do basic things like scheme guys open and make plays in the passing game. For years with this offense it has been a massive struggle to do any of that and that is while having Hurts, Brown, Smith, Goedert, etc. I think Sirianni is a moron but even IF someone were to think he is a good culture builder who brings accountability and detail to his "program" you can only get so far with the model they have offensively. They made it to a SB and won another. They were extremely lucky to have done that under the circumstances and it took having a historic OL and OL coach, a historically talented roster, and a RB who had one of the greatest RB seasons in NFL history to do so. It's way time to make a change and the "change" they made to Mannion and a "new scheme" turned out to be a half measure that will never work while Sirianni is the head coach and it's been compounded by hiring an OL coach who appears to be clueless.

It takes two to tango but if Howie doesn't AT LEAST trade Dickerson and Woolen I will go from saying he has had a down couple of years to seriously questioning him. If it were up to me I would sell sell sell including those two, Ojomo if I can get a 3 or 4, and Saquon and Baun if someone offered up a 2nd. If they trade Hollywood Brown they will get a 7 or a 5 for 7 swap at best so I don't even count that when it comes to selling for the future.

Other than Matt Patricia for Sean Dessai Sirianni has never made any changes when things have gone wrong. He literally has zero clue how to make adjustments both in the micro and macro sense and it's kind of indicative of this entire era of Eagles football where coaching comes down to letting Howie build a great roster fill of talent and telling said talent to line up in a high school offense and just be better than the players in front of them on defense. He is a flat out dope.

My bad 3. I meant to say that and then 1400 in 4 of 6

Sirianni with the no changes will cost him his job. I think Lurie was going to wait until the season ends but he is pretty quick to pull the plug if he is unhappy with the direction of his organization. I wouldn’t be surprised if Siri gets the axe prior to the end of season and possibly they’ll elevate Mannion for a few weeks to see if there is anything there, if there isn’t they will totally clean house for 2027.

At this point they are honestly better off just letting him hang himself and completely tank the season. This should make it easier from an optics standpoint to fire a "SB winning head coach" just two years after reaching the mountain top and also hopefully get them a top 5 pick. There are some REALLY bad teams in the NFL this season and winning 5 or 6 games could result in them picking outside of the top 10. TANK TANK TANK!!!!!!

McNabb must be hitting the bottle again. He just said all they need to do is win the next 3 games in a row and the whole season changes. Eagles can make it into the playoffs and steal a game and build momentum and see where it takes them

Love the optimism from 5 lol

not sure this helps Nick Sirianni. Because if he’s doing that, and they’re still not fixing those issue. Imo means that most are tuning him out or he doesn’t know how to get through to them to actually fix the problem.

What a tweet lol

The best way to punish Greenard is to play him 100% of the snaps. He never leaves the field. I think by the end of the 3rd quarter he walks into the locker room and retires. Guy does not want to play football. Doing everything he can to avoid contact. Howie's worst trade ever.

That would punish us more.

Well the Eagles are not tough, they pay no attention to detail, but at least they are failing together so they have that going for them.

Smitty's a great receiver. Had 3 seasons over 1,000 yards as WR2.

They had such bad WRs over the years. Now some want to ship him off as if it's so easy to draft a WR? Debate & criticize him, compare to others, etc.

He's tough, dedicated, team player, not a diva at all, doesn't complain, took less money to stay here and gives his all.

Of all the things to complain about, he's not one of them.

Right and we’re talking about an OC in Indy who didn’t even call plays, Reich did.
