Also point out Jurgens has played G at the nfl before kelce retired

And not particularly well. I’m sure a change to G with more in line blocking is just what an also struggling Jurgens needs.

Same knee as the trimmed meniscus. Writing has been on the wall for a while.

Gotta give credit to McLane. I don’t know if he has inside info but I remember back before camp even started in one of his podcast episodes he mentioned the possibility of Drew Kendall taking over for Dickerson and I remember going huh? And then camp starts and everyone talks about how rough Dickerson looked(which is why I’m not putting a ton of stock into this bone bruise injury suffered at practice because he reportedly struggled all camp). And then it became clear McLane was onto something way back in June/July when he started talking about Dickerson being replaced.

The quote about him saying he’s spending all that money if he thought he was close to retirement tells me he wants to keep playing. He doesn’t think he’s finished yet.

Whether or not he’s physically decline is another issue. But the fact that the Eagles, if this is true knew he was dealing with this and let him just go out there and play week one after you saw what he was last year trying to play through injury is stupid. Protect him from himself. And make smarter decisions based off knowledge you have of the past. Again assuming this is legit.

Not saying they are going to do it but if they did I’m guessing it would be because Kendall didn’t play much of guard in college. and they’d feel more comfortable with Kendall going C and Jurgens at G

Just saying Kendall who has played none to very little guard at college/NFL is probably going to have an issue of growing pains.

I think he's framing things in the most optimistic way by saying it's something he won't need to worry about moving forward. Also, the timeline on the supposed ankle injury doesn't make sense. He says he got rolled up on a couple weeks ago in practice but they're just now getting imaging on it? For someone with his history? Hmm.

Imo he would’ve been better off just saying he got re-injured in the game. Cause now sirianni and kuper are going to get a boatload of questions about when did this happen, when did you get the news about bone bruises and needing time for it to heal, why didn’t he get imaging done when it occurred on rolling his ankle, why did you let him go out there knowing based off last year how we tried to play through it he just didn’t look the same. then reporters are gonna be like we saw him at practice and he didn’t look right so you guys obviously had to know that too. Going to create so many more questions than they needed and easier to just say i got banged up early in the game against the commanders and tried to gut it out then got imagining

Because he has integrity?

Is it integrity if some people on here believe they only put him on IR to soft bench him and If that’s the case what he said is integrity? Cause he’d be lying regardless then

Dickerson wasn't the niftiest guard when he was 100%, in this scheme, I think Kendall is a better fit and Morris might be with some experience.

Steen is the disappointment, as a college LT he should be a perfect fit for this scheme.

Jurgens had two holds on run plays, have his knees degenerated to the point where he's starting to be a step late, bad news for a guy who depended on quickness.

Thought the play calling was very vanilla, probably want to establish the base offense before opening the bag of tricks.

For one thing, nothing is going to work if they run and pass block like they did on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Hurts showed why he's a top 5 QB, all he does is Win, Baby.

What? You just used a bunch of words to say that he should have lied about the injury just to cover up the optics.

I’m assuming he didn’t do that because it’s not the truth.

Yeah, he lies about it to make it look better, then it leaks out later that he was injured in camp and now his integrity is damaged.

Dumb suggestion.

He’s a SB year hero and he owned it, glad this is happening. Still was worth the draft pick.

I find it very curious they said he was dealing with various ailments and trying to play through it. Which tells me he was dealing with something going into that game. If you knew that you shouldn’t have let him play. That’s a problem. They could’ve worded that he came out of that game with some ailments and banged up from the game, but that’s not how it was worded.

I’m not buying it. Didn’t appear at all on the injury report and practiced full all 3 days. He’s claiming someone rolled up on him in camp but no reporter said anything close to him getting hurt or that happening.

Feels like there’s a few options they can play with. Cam to guard, Lampkin to center. Or Kendall/Lampkin at guard. Wasn’t Kendall at guard in the preseason? But the depth chart has Lampkin there now.

where did i deny he was physical not close to what he was 2-3 years ago? i didn’t. Heck i said he’s never going to have that type of athleticism like pre 2024. My issue was if he declined and he was having scheme blocking issues then to look even worse til he got comfortable in it. Him being physically declined is different than if he actively got hurt again and they tried to play him through the ailment. Assuming the ailment is true

Furthermore, if he’s telling the truth where someone rolled him in practice and they knew about it, and he wasn’t feeling right, and they still let him go out there that is even dumber. Had last year with knowledge of how he looked playing through a injury

I'm teasing you, relax.

But yeah, he said he was hurt weeks ago. Last year they knew he was hurt in the SB, he was hurt last season and a liability but they kept him in there. And they had all offseason to get a replacement and they chose Kendall (let's hope he's up for it).

Landon is a team first guy, he knows he's a liability right now and will not burden the team to stroke his ego.

Get well soon big guy.

He’s lying regardless of circumstance. Using integrity as the reason is just as dumb.

I

I'm so sad they extended him. He's far from the best player but man is he fun.

Washington has one play like this every year and then you don’t hear of him for the rest of the year.

TBF it’s kind of a mind F that the Eagles didn’t win a playoff game in 2024 but won the 2024 SB (in 2025). My TBI addled brain gets super confused when i try to reference the hazy late 2000’s and early 2010’s.

As a pass catcher yeah. As a blocker he's top shelf. But yeah I'm not going to pretend he's sone stud TE. He's just really fun to watch IMO. My guy just basketball dribbled a grown man.
