How do you know that?

So let me get this straight he got rolled up on, they didn’t do any imaging until day after week 1. when he was awful and looked poor in training camp/practice and has a length injury history

Add-on, there was no mention of it on the injury report leading into week one. He practiced in full all 3 days. No mention. So they don’t put it on the report but figured today let’s have imagining. So the lie he injured himself in game would’ve made more sense for the imagining part

But there’s that integrity factor. Team and Dickerson knew that he was dealing with this prior to the game and they didn’t put it on the report even though it clearly was hampering to every person at practice. Good old integrity…

Looking forward to seeing a healthy, albeit less talented Drew Kendall step in.

Even base level competence at the LG position should make a big difference in the offensive efficiency.

Landon is a team first guy, he knows he's a liability right now and will not burden the team to stroke his ego.

Get well soon big guy.

Would've been cool for him to do it last year too

Love the dude for what he's done but he should have retired, for his sake. He won't be able to walk in 3 years because he can't get out of his own way and the coaching staff (sirianni) is also too inept to protect him from himself

The whole thing is very confusing if he did in fact get injured during camp, aren't there penalties for lying on the injury report? Or are they saying dickerson didn't tell them his knee hurt after he got rolled up on?

This is why people are speculating a soft benching via IR. IMO, they should have had him on IR to start the season. He went to Colombia to get treatment obviously dude was F'ed up

I’m not buying it. Didn’t appear at all on the injury report and practiced full all 3 days. He’s claiming someone rolled up on him in camp but no reporter said anything close to him getting hurt or that happening.

I think he's framing things in the most optimistic way by saying it's something he won't need to worry about moving forward. Also, the timeline on the supposed ankle injury doesn't make. He says he got rolled up on a couple weeks ago in practice but they're just now getting imaging on it? For someone with his history? Hmm.

Yup on both of these.

We could all see (well, most of us) that his physical condition was so bad that immediate action was necessary. Not waiting a few games.

Glad the Eagles took decisive action so quickly.

Onward to Kendall. Should be an immediate upgrade.

I heard Joyner mention Lampkin when talking about Dickerson replacement. I think Kendall should be 1st guy off bench. Lampkin can sub out Jurgens if needed. I think keeping Majors safe is really important to make sure he doesn't get poached.

I think the opposite…I think Lampkin is the first guy in at OG. Kendall is the better OC.

So this is a new injury he's been dealing with during the offseason? Yea he needs to hang it up. He's always injured. I'm glad they pulled the trigger. That means if Cam starts as well then we wont have to worry about them leaving another broken guy failing to block for Hurts

On the official injury report for the regular season, yea there are penalties if you intentionally don’t disclose something that is limiting a player. The caveat though is if the player practices in full every day, you don’t have to disclose it until they miss all or parts of practice.

My personal biggest hurdle to clear is we have seen and known how ultra conservative the Eagles are in Training Camp with injuries and giving guys time off. There’s no way in my mind the guy got rolled up in practice, wasn’t pulled from that practice, didn’t miss a single practice besides two days described as rest/not injury related, and it is now so bad they had to do imaging and shut him down for 4 weeks. It just doesn’t make any sense at all.

I think we are about to learn the hard way that Kendall and Lampkin were all training camp hype.

To your first part, these are now more questions that sirianni and kuper. I had another post that had a bunch of questions that you know reporters are going to ask you along with yours.

Again, it’s why I suggested he and the team regardless of what actually happening just say he got injured in the game. Frankly it plays more into why the imagining done today as compared to when he got rolled up on and boatload of other questions coming their way.

Key is that he said they got imaging on it today. If they didnt have that info, then what is there to report?

Conceivably they can explain that he only reported the injury to them this week after his poor play in the game.

AJ Dillon came in to finish the job!

Interesting…does this mean Hurts isn’t making protection calls anymore?

I am going to give Landon the benefit of the doubt and believe the bone bruise story. We’ll get to see how Kendall plays now regardless

I don’t think so. They might not be great but I think they’ll be ok

I would say there was nothing about last years offense that indicated he should continue, in addition to learning the new offense well enough which is already going to challenge him at everything he has never been good at.

I’m not saying there even is anything to report. Just that the chain of events compared to the story doesn’t make any sense. I don’t think the Eagles will be penalized but I think the story is mostly spin to control the narrative.

Part of why you are paying kuper to be your OL coach. It was for most of stoutland’s tenure as OL coach an extremely valuable part of his coaching. He for a good portion of the time had guys ready to be competent. For instance vaitai in 2017

I understand. It was a rhetorical question meant to say, it supports their claim (true or not) that they did not know he was injured- if they just got an MRI revealing a bone bruise today.

I would think that if Landon looked that terrible all camp, then the team would not have thought he could start week 1. That they were so quick to pull the plug shows they do not feel that level of play was acceptable. So, logically, they wouldnt have played him if that was what they expected.

I tend to believe that he was pretty ok from last years stuff, and he got the leg rolled up on recently. Didnt say much about it, and told the team when they questioned his performance. So he got an MRI and he has a bone bruise.

If leaves for the potential for a happy ending where he returns and is able to play at a high level once the bone bruise is healed.

Year 1 of Hurts having protection call responsibility the Eagles had a 2k yard rusher and won the SB. He took a bit through the season to get good at it…but Hurts excels pre snap.

I have no clue who did it last year, but it didn’t matter because Patullo couldn’t get plays in in time to adjust.

Mahomes having zero issues running on that knee…his first pass attempt seemed a little weird though.
