Going to be funny when Greenard isn't back until after week 4 and they took him off PUP for no reason.

Like it did Dickerson and Jurgens? I wouldn't be surprised.

On one tug push, Allen slid to his left one slot before pushed forward. That would be a variation to pick a weaker defensive slot to get to the end zone. Hurts could use that too.

Greenard I think will return for the Bears.

I would assume that. And in a very limited role. 8 - 15 snaps maybe?

Did we even get into 3rd and short last week?

I'm gonna stick by my comments that Howie had a bad day on cutdown day and there's been some mishandling of PUP and IR. I don't think that it's earth shattering and will undermine the season or anything. Still waiting for the Elliott bomb to drop and Safety/TE to be a problem over a long season. You can't have everything figured out on Day 1.

I will admit I'm picking at Howie's game, after having an A minus offseason overall.

What I didn't like about recent moves:

Cutting Cameron Williams and Gush. Very simply, rather have Williams and or Gush to develop than some other guys who were kept and will offer probably nothing this year. Why not wait another year on Williams? Bell is probably our guy next year, but could have been at least swing tackle depth in the future. He has shown glimpses already and only 22. Gush would be a special teams contributor right away and we were light at safety.

Expected Stowers on IR right away after preseason injury. But later did it anyway, after cutdown day. Could have preserved a roster spot (temporarily) right from the jump with final cuts.

Keeping Dalton. And tieing up 3 totally below average QBs For roster spots. But I get why. Think he should have tried to sneak one on the PS, with Payton or Dalton and lived with the outcome.

Giving Covey a roster spot right away after last week. Would have just waited the 3 weeks and seen where we were at. Maybe someone else steps up in that role like Lemon & Moore. Covey gets thrown around like a rag doll and is adequate because he doesn't turn it over. Although, did fumble, but recover a muff last game. I don't think he is as shifty or quick as he was a couple years back nor a real threat to break one. Also, can't have 7 WRs on team and dedicate one spot for just PR. A waste.

And.... if Greenard doesn't come back by Week 3/4, I will add that to the list.

What I'm waiting for:

Ertz signing to PS maybe by the 4 week timeline, when Stowers may or may not come back from IR. Also, to see if Goedert is still going strong and not injured.

Safety trade by trade deadline. Honestly thought it would happen this offseason. Like to keep an eye on Justin Reid at trade deadline if Saints are looking bleak.

Got my eyes on: if Elliott makes his kicks from 45 and beyond. There are several kickers out there that just need a shot that will likely beat his new norm of low 70's FG percentage and give you much further range.

Greenard will play next week and it will be fine

….and we’re 4-0 just like every year

Agree with Williams and Gush. Wanted both of them. They IRd Bennett instead of Stowers but Bennett won't be any help. Even if they activate him he will be hurt by the second game. I've come to the conclusion that Mannion does not like McKee and Mannion is the one who pushed Howie to draft Lemon and Stowers.

Ha. This guy could be damaged goods. Quick question, if Howie could have made the money work, would you rather have Milton and Sweat or Davis and Greenard/Phillips? I do like Davis and his improvement since that time. But that guy gets gassed and can't give you the same snaps.

Howie didn't fight to keep those guys like he should have. At worst, he should have kept one of those guys. There was a path to keep MW, JC, MO and JD for a 2 year window, post Superbowl. I'm not passing that up. Just not. You can play more 5 man fronts and Carter doesn't get gassed playing 80- 90% snaps or injured. OMG, what could have been.

Bennett should be cut. Don't know why they are even bothering there. He makes Adoree look like an All Pro. Granted, Adoree was competent by 2nd half of last year. He must feel some kinda certain way about the Eagles right now to not be invited back.

Also to wit... why is Mac McWilliams still on the roster. I haven't seen him do one single thing. The NFL website stats say he's appeared in 6 games with ONE TACKLE.

absolute waste of a pick

ok, now that makes sense

So, I'd guess Eagles hold out and shock the opponent when they bring up Jake Majors from the PS tomorrow.

Drew Kendall is essentially an unknown to all of us. He could start at LG Sunday, drastically upgrade the offense, and never look back en route to a long, memorable Eagles career. Alternatively, he might never even play and that job could go straight to someone else.

If it's the later, he really should be nominated for a Nasty Nate award after all the training camp hype. Darius Cooper has it in the bag for now.

Cooper, just from his STs play last Sunday disqualifies for the Nasty Nate, having actually produced. Last year the leading ST tackler was Trot2 and not from the gunner position. Four tackles in the first game certainly projects to more than 18 for the year.

Incredibly lean, when I first started eating venison I had to watch how frequently I ate it, it definitely can impact the bowels if you eat too much.

There is a local butcher/sandwich/burger spot in Plano. Wednesday is Elk burger day.

There used to be, may still be, a restaurant down near Dealey Plaza that had a game sampler plate. Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse maybe. Their elk was exquisite. Their bison was damn good.

Yeh, well that is another reason I come here. I heard about this guy HE and how much he loves players named Jalen.

Yes! The heavy game taste is usually stronger in the fat with almost any wild game, wild turkey has exceptional flavor, far far better than store bought turkey.

Feral sow is better than store bought pork. A neighbor of my FIL traps and kills feral pigs for neighbor farmers. If he traps one that is small enough, he sells them to plants. If he shoots a hog (male), he leaves it for the scavengers. But the smaller sows, he will dress and butcher. He has slow smoked a whole sow and slow smoked hams and shoulders that were the best pork ever. Because they are more active the marbling is more defined, much like grazed beef over stockyard beef. (Grass fed does not always equal grazed).

The fact that Bennett and McWilliams are still in the NFL, let alone on the Eagles roster, tells you how bad DB depth actually is across the NFL.

Two bad bad football players. Good for them though, to still be collecting $$ checks. Reminds me of half of an NBA roster. 🏄🏄

Eagles toss around the franchise that still has AJ Brown & Mike Vrabel stink on them. Expect the offense to be more functional, with Kendall fitting in like a hand in glove, especially in the running game.

  • Tank with 50 total yards or more

  • Hollywood Brown with a long TD
