He acted like his leg was just blown off by a mortar.

But Dean is a better ILB and it really isn't close. Not sure how anybody could argue that right now. Maybe 2-3 years from now it will bee a different story. But maybe not.Yes, the choice with Campbell is about developing his potential but if he isn’t given PT how can he get there in Yr3 like Nakobe did. I think you let it play out longer, but Trot Jr. is available if we don’t start seeing progress.

September 21Sep 21 If Becton isn't brought in this week, there must be some serious issues with him. Hard to see how he could be worse than Jurgens was today. Would really shore up depth. While I know he probably doesn't have the movement skills that is ideal in scheme, I feel like this OL is used to beating the opposition with physicality and brute strength. HavingJurgens at OG and Kendall at OC negates that physical advantage.

He also had a bunch of drama off the field last year with the Chargers. He had like a mistress issue and then he had some other stuff. He also just didn’t play well. There was a reason why the chargers cut him after one year.

Becton has the feet for the job.

September 21Sep 21 Tank needs 22 a game or we gonna have problems, this oline is worst ish I have seen here in a min
September 21Sep 21 Howie is well aware that this interior OL is horrendous. He's also well aware of how excellent Becton was in 2024. There are 31 other teams that won't give the guy a job and I have to believe at least a couple have guards as bad as ours.Something is wrong and I trust that he's not a viable option.

Barkley can still run, but he's a home-run hitter not getting HR lanes. Tank will at least pick up 3-4 by going over dudes.Obviously we need more Shipley.

September 21Sep 21 Quenton Nelson, playing right now. 30. Perennial pro-bowl future HOF guard. Last year of his contract. Colts will be out of it by the deadline. No franchise QB to protect. Rental. Collect a comp pick.Nice target for Howie's annual sacrifice of a 3rd round pick at the trading deadline.

Unless they implode quick.

They could be 5-3 or 4-4 around the trade deadline. They can beat Houston, Washington, Pittsburgh and Tennessee.
September 21Sep 21 Just now, Diehardfan said:Who else is a possibilityOL don't move often at the deadline. It's emasculating enough to punt on a season in football. It's especially unacceptable to compromise the protection of your QB. I think that's more of an impediment than integrating a brand new OL on the receiving team (which isn't easy itself either). So it takes a team that doesn't have one. Browns, Colts, Jets, Cardinals, Dolphins.Seumalo with the Cardinals would be an interesting reunion...but he's got some money wrapped up in that contract. Not sure who takes that hit. He's not going to be worth much, but he'd be a meaningful upgrade.
