Hot takes, I understand, but I can’t change what I see:The 2026 eagles are of the 2023 and 2025 lineage, not 2022 or 2024.The OL will be bad all year. RIP Barkley and running game. It’s not going to be improved.Jalen Hurts is clutch and a winner, but he’s not a good passer and not a good fit for the offense. We are going to learn that very slowly. The offense is very low on talent.Lemon is a gadget player until proven otherwise (and until utilized otherwise). Unfair to call him a bust but he’s absolutely on the fast track to becoming one. Here are my hot takes:It is too early to tell. What we saw from the Offense today was a significant step forward from Week One … when the Offense was in a rhythm (I’ve described the game to my brother as a "Sheet sandwich ... very good in the beginning and very good at the end, and sheet in the middle. It is worth thinking about where 2024 was after 2 games, or after 4 games before making a 24 to 26 comparison. While the OL wasn’t where we wanted it to be today, it was considerably better than it was in Week One. It is worth noting that the five players who started today took exactly zero snaps together as a unit at any time in 2026. In addition, it is probable that Cam Jurgens took zero OG snaps in 2026. The expression work in progress (work in process) clearly appliesOnce again you are jumping to a premature conclusion about Hurts. What is it about 26 for 37 and 264 yards that you don’t like?Interesting take. We have discussed this take in prior discussions. Your pessimistic take on the team’s talent is a subjective opinion. My optimistic comfort with the team’s overall talent level is also a subjective opinion. Here too you are utilizing a small data set to come to a massive conclusion. The Kung Fu Master counsels you with the words "Patience Grasshopper.” I suspect that only 50% of those two words are in your vocabulary. With that said, what did you want to accomplish when you shared those hot takes? Were you simply venting?

I didn’t love that pick when they made it. Mainly because I thought he went too high for a guy that was gonna be a project and take a lot of time. I’d rather have waited and got a tight end in the next round with who was available on the board.
September 21Sep 21 Absolutely ridiculous to show that replay to highlight CB play as the CB is absolutely mugging the WR the entire time and call it good coverage. Why can’t i mute Collinsworth?

September 21Sep 21 I think its very likely that today was the first time Hurts has ever completed a pass to 9 different receivers.I also think this is the most he has ever thrown in the middle of the field in a single game.I think the first half, he made quick decisions and threw accurately in the face of pressure. The offense didnt have to punt in the 1st half, nor did they have to rely on explosive plays to move the ball. They had long drives, and even overcame 3rd and long, or 2nd and real long situations.Immense improvement from the offense from week 1 to week 2.Hurts crapped the bed for nearly the entirety of the 2nd half BUT for the final drive to win the game.If he can provide some damn consistency, the offense can be very dangerous next week.It does appear that Mannion is beginning to pull out a new level of Hurts' play and his offense is going to be successful. Hopefully by week 6, 7, 8... this will be a juggernaut.

They certainly don't look like they fully understand it nor are they executing it well. I get there's been injuries, but man oh man. I'm confident they will bring it together, but that interior is going through a blender right now.The offense played very well considering in was 1,000 degrees, Barkely was out the 1st half, and Goedert went down early. There needs to be faster adjustments coming out of the half, because that 3rd quarter was painful. Run game needs work, but that seems to be more about the interior OL right now.At some point their performance becomes a question about whether Kuper knows what he is doing. Sure Dickerson was injured and played terribly. Simmons is a top 5 DT. That doesn’t explain the lack of execution at other positions.

Which is what you need. It’s very hard to come across having an AJ Brown and Devonta Smith. Heck can’t really afford them when we have to pay some of these guys on defense. That said he’s always been good at getting off the line, creating space and running solid routes. His issue has always been consistently catching the football. He also kind of got buried on the depth chart with the Packers. When they drafted golden that pushed him down. Watson when he came back was always gonna be their top guy. Reed was always ahead of him. Doubs was also ahead of them of him the depth chart. So he kind of got like sporadic play so he really never got a consistent snaps to grow

We essentially kept him clean against the run and blitzed him (strength) rather than put him in coverage (weakness).Campbell is a better athlete and is big and fast. If you you put him sideby side with Nakobe you would pick Campbell 100% of the time. But Dean is a better ILB and it really isn't close. Not sure how anybody could argue that right now. Maybe 2-3 years from now it will bee a different story. But maybe not.
September 21Sep 21 Harrison jr has to get out of Arizona. I don’t know if he’s going to be great somewhere else. And he’s just not a bust, but man they don’t even give him any opportunities
September 21Sep 21 Was a stressful game and lots of areas to work on but, man, I can't help being happy for Cooper. Dude has put in the work and really molded himself into a quality NFL WR. Would like to see him get more snaps/targets. He has earned them
September 21Sep 21 I think the point here isn’t that they’ve been good but that they’ve started slow under Fangio and gotten progressively better so not time to panic

I stand by what i said last week. I woulkd rather have Jurgens at center and Kendall at guard than vice-versa.

But maybe not.Campbell really should have been allowed to focus on developing as a pass rusher. He was good at that in college. He was too small for it in the NFL. He is a great athlete and that was helping him in coverage as a rookie but this year, its not going well. He lacks instincts for the ILB position. He has the athleticism to rush the passer. Just needed to develop some moves and more strength. And both last year and this year, we would really stand to benefit from the depth he could have provided in the edge rotation.Fangio was genius turning Baun from edge to ILB. But I think he is just as un-genius for mis-labeling Campbell.
