EMB Blog: 2026 Regular Season (Part 1)

Another thing that’s funny is the number of times the Eagles will move the ball and a penalty kills the drive. Gotta lead the league in that.

Memba when the 2026 Eagles were "better on paper” than the 2024 Eagles? I memba

On paper in August there absolutely was an argument to be made they could be.

Were we to expect Carter and Davis to be that invisible?

Greenard can be as good as Sweat. Riq and Q are as good if not better as CB1/2. Safety we knew Epps was a downgrade. We had a backup LB in the SB. No reason Campbell couldn't be better.

There was a lot of excitement and they aren't living up to it. Smith looked more like that guy in the first half before getting burned out.

He picked Patullo and Brian Johnson who were both his boys. He has say.

Johnson was qb1 boy

Eagles 2026 and Phillies 2026 are very similar.

-Both teams had an offense that stunk the year before bailed out by the other side of the team(pitching - Phillies and defense - Eagles) the year prior. Still finished with a good record, but everyone knew they weren't as good as their record, would get exposed in the playoffs, and they did.

-Both teams decided to run it back with largely the same personnel and coaching staff(although Phillies fired theirs in-season).

-Both teams start off the season and even early on it's clear they just aren't good enough. The Phillies managed to crawl their way to a playoff spot. I'm not sure the Eagles will be as lucky though.

I normally agree with your takes and think you're a pretty funny dude. But that's a little harsh, his parents might be dying. At the end of the day it's just football. It must be pretty serious for him to miss and Lane is a legend and has proven he isn't soft by playing through some tough injuries.

He hasn't been the same since he got off the juice

What many of us have been trying to tell you all for six years now has been on consistent display over these past two seasons. With any luck, we either have a drastic turn around (doubtful) or we can finally head in a different direction

Two SB runs, two final games he played incredibly well in, one of which that we won despite naysayers like you downplaying our chances at every turn leading up to them. Yeah you guys really nailed it.

He had a great defense and one of the best seasons from a rb in nfl seasons

He was 2nd in MVP voting in 2022. I'm never going to change your mind so whatever.

I was furious when they drafted Hurts, I thought he was a bum. But he's proven himself and outside of a miraculous 2-3 games from Foles, he is the ONLY QB in my lifetime with the stones to handle Philly and deliver in the biggest of stages. He deserves a ish load of leeway

I said failed OC's. I don't consider those two as having failed. 2022 was Hurts best year, but sadly he has regressed every year since then. And Kellen Moore's offense was carried by Saquon Barkley and his tremendous season and our defense. Hurts was just kinda there. I don't know how people can't see this. And don't give me that "Super bowl MVP" crap. That was just an average performance honestly. His 2022 performance was MVP worthy. 2024 should've went to the defense.

Ok I'll play along, if you were only referring to Brian Johnson and Patullo, then why did you put "failed OCs" in quotes like that? You weren't trying to imply they were actually good OCs that were only made to look worse precisely because of Hurts?

I don't care about individual awards. Those awards are a joke and never go to the right person. It's time to replace him. Thanks for the ring. Bye

So we really have a Jihaad Campbell problem. That draft is starting to look like a train wreck outside of Kendall.

Trade him at the deadline. Get rid of Nolan too. His stock is at a all time high after this game

Another reason Nick is a bad coach. You fight to keep him except he correctly called you out and you let him go

I dunno about that. We’ve struggled with blitz pickup under Siri/Hurts forever now

A subjective award. Allen and Burrow finished right behind him, and had better numbers.

I think Smith started to show signs of inconsistency last year, now I’m worried Jalyx Hunt is following that narrative. Not one DC has to plan around any one of our pass rushers, quite frankly now that they know JC has a hair line fracture, they don’t have to gameplan for him either.

I hate when your team is really not feared by any opposing coach…….

It's time to log off for the night

Hurts could 100% be playing better, and I’m not trying to resolve him of any blame here but what my untrained eye is seeing is the offense is a complete failure on every level. The oline looks like they’ve never blocked anyone before, WRs and tight ends running into each other or running into the same spot, the running backs have looked ok but that also goes back to the line, and then hurts clearly regressing. I don’t think it’s a complete talent issue. It seems the players do not understand what they are supposed to be doing and that’s on the coaching. They look sloppy and unprepared. Penalties happens when guys are thinking too much and getting sloppy in their technique. That’s on coaching…just my opinion

Don't miss the next pedophile defender convention.

And Sirianni. And yes I said that all of 2025. I was officially done with Sirianni last year. He brings nothing to the table, basically the (Figure)Head Coach.

Mannion is not bathing himself in glory but deserves a little more time, to be fair.

But the early signs are there. The slow starts (poor game planning), the cratering in the 2nd half (no adjustments), poor execution (they can't run a screen, they can't handle a blitz, the herky jerk playcalling).

got it so it’s all coaching. Even though they’ve consistently rotated the coach in charge of the offense and get the same contracted passing game with the only variable in the results being how dominant the OL and running game can be. All coaching.

And the only offensive coordinators who do the things you request and would make it alllll better….didnt want to come here and work with what we have.

Hmmm….

Yea. I'm sure they'll try covering that up too

The pass rush is more of a problem than Campbell. Stafford turns to mush the second you get near him and they only sacked him once. And he had all day the final two drives. One sack on that final drive probably ends that game.

Where's Jordan Davis and this "ready to break out" Jalyx Hunt?

Tired of hearing about pressures, go bring a QB the F down my god.
