Step away from the phone and I come back to Lane Johnson immediately considering retirement? Yeesh.

I thought this would be a transition year, but it feels more like a year where players and coaches need to prove they belong here in 2027.

Things have escalated quickly.

Or perhaps more accurately, declined quickly.

I think 3 more wins seems far fetched for this team right now especially with injuries piling up.

My take too. Some bad decisions out there. Cost us the game. If it continues, some people aren’t coming back.

I could see a world in which Steichen is head coach next year and he convinces Stoutland to come back to his staff.

Im not saying bj was great and they shouldn't have brought in Moore im just saying bj wasn't as bad and wasn't the biggest problem on that 2023 team as the defense was laughably bad that year

BJ was that bad though, he was just as bad as the defense but was shielded by elite talent while the defense didn't really have that.

Indy isn't that stupid. That would be a grand slam if that happened

Maybe reconsider trying the play the ITYS card when you infamously had to eat your words during the '24 run.

Because he had a generational back and elite defense. Yes.

Now what are the areas he's made vast improvements in over the seven years he's been in the league?

Not hard to see the Dickerson path. His entire college career was riddled with injuries. Frankly, that we got as much elite play from him as we did was the unpredictable part.where we are now... completely predictable. And Howie should have seen it coming (that's his job).. my guess is that he insured the crap out of that contract and maybe Jurgens' contract, too.

Hopefully, if not, we are gonna be in rough shape

I wish our dope front office staff had better skills at reading the room, Lane didn’t seem 100% at his PC in camp. Looked like a guy that sees things differently with life when life can get tough, whether it’s family or his own battle, he deserves the respect. But I am not surprised at all.

We aren't a SB contender this year. And if that is the case, may as well start the Bell experience early to find out if he is the guy next year and get him better prepared.

Lane is and will always be legend - he has earned the right to step away on his terms, especially if its his parents health. Having been in the same situation recently, I totally understand - work isn't your #1 priority when going through that.

I could see them being 2-4 after next 3 games. Jags might be the best team in the afc. Imo better defense than the chiefs and i like coen. Carolina in Carolina isn’t easy. We nearly lost that game in 2024 if not for a wr drop and Carolina isn’t good but neither are we. Dallas at home on MNF. Imo toss up game as disgusting as it sounds to say that

Eagles offense:

25th in points

29th in yards

31st in passing yards

Are we sure Kevin Patullo and AJ Brown’s toxicity were the problem?

I'd hate that as a teammate. Just saying

You’re not wrong. I don’t know if he’s just trying to create his post playing analyst role by divulging too much or he’s just situationally unaware of what he’s saying, but either one isn’t great

Been reported that he needs to make the playoffs minimum to keep his job. Watching Daniel Jones this season don’t think they’re gonna win many games.

Would love that personally. Steichen offense is the best we have had in recent memory.

I hate to say it, but Bell ended up looking really sluggish and lumbering out there. He reaches a ton. Looked lazy. I say looked lazy because I’m not accusing him of being lazy. It was the twitch (or lack of it) in his movements. Just very deliberate.

Only game 1. Thrown to the wolves. Will ideally get better.

Much, much better debut than Winston Justice.

Bell is raw, but he played decently today... much better than the interior. He gave up some pressures but who didn't? For his first real action... I thought he was fine. Not great but not terrible either. Part of his problem is also his greatest strength... his size. He is so tall that he's going to struggle with edges who get low to turn the corner. and he'll struggle with guys getting under his pads. He needs to focus on knee bend and footwork. If his lower half can develop, his upper half will dominate. Time will tell how much his footwork can improve.

So generational and yet you still didn't think we'd win it while it was unfolding in the playoffs because you were too busy complaining about Hurts.

They had success because they're talented offensive minds while Johnson and Patullo aren't. Pretty straightforward and yet you seem intent on trying to overcomplicate it.

It's obvious they had success. I pointed out Steichen's offense struggled in 2021 until he made changes and same thing with Moore in 2024. What changes did they make that made their offenses successful? I don't understand why that question is so hard for you to understand and answer. Pretty simple question.

That would be so incredibly stupid, and I would camp outside the novacare or whatever the hell they call it with a big ass sign to hire him.

That man was handed Anthony Richardson as his franchise QB lol

I watched the replay ot that a few times trying to figure out what the hell happened at first I just thought it was maybe bad play design as hurts gets run into but it wasn't the design as this pic shows it was timing, jurgens went early and doomed the play from the start humming the whole thing up.

Had jurgens simply just stood up on time and just got in the way of the defense Instead of hurts , hurts walks into the td and birds win, instead we get what we got.

I feel bad for jurgens hes not a LG he was barely a RG hes a center but Kendall is clearly better than him

It really sucks because before he hurt his back he was a pro bowler now hes just a liability, hes the worst starting interior O line in the league and its nit close

He and Dickerson were horrible last year and theyre as bad this year too, time to just just sit jurgens down, hes not getting better

Well if you listened to jojorabbit all offseason we were told that losing AJ was going to free Jalen Hurts and the offense to be its true self and Mannion would find ways to unlock all the talent and they would be more productive spreading the ball around. Oh they’re spreading the ball around alright. Entire families of worms have been killed by footballs this season.

AJ was a real difference maker from '21 to '22. We ran quite a bit more RPO and slants as well. Moore brought more motion and checks at the LOS that Johnson's offense lacked. That Saquon Barkley guy coming here was pretty good too.

I didn't, that's right. He was bad in 2023. They had the '24 run. He was bad last year. He's been bad this season. There's an obvious outlier here - which, as I've stated, I was wrong about the team for that season.

Now why don't you tell me where he's made improvements instead of dodging the question?

Lane retiring right now helps us tremendously. We aren't winning ish, let Bell get live game reps so we can see if he can be a quality RT. It's actually a good catalyst for nuking this entire offense

Fire jurgens into the sun and let lampkin play. Guard or center, don't care. The sooner we figure out what we have on the OL the better.

As of right now, no extension for Hurts if this is what we're gonna get. His mobility is absolutely shot. He finally evaded a sack today, but this team sucks at scramble drills so he had to throw it away anyway. His lateral movement is about as fast as my grandmother and even his north-south looked slow today. He's missing wide open dudes constantly, making terrible decisions, and 5 years a starter and he's still confused by blitzes. He isn't the problem with the offense, but he certainly isn't helping the issue.

We better be looking for solid DC candidates, because Vic ain’t coming back if this is a complete failure. He will retire (I think)
