Greenard gets 50 mil guaranteed, and we let a 6’5” DE that we could use slip away for 60 mil guaranteed. Phillips is also two years younger….some of the stuff Howie has done just doesn’t make sense.

I think the Phillips one he wasn’t expecting to get outbid by the panthers with his injury past. Frankly i think once he lost Phillips he was hellbent on getting Greenard cause he was next best option outside of dealing a boatload of Crosby who "failed a physical”

Step away from the phone and I come back to Lane Johnson immediately considering retirement? Yeesh.

I thought this would be a transition year, but it feels more like a year where players and coaches need to prove they belong here in 2027.

Things have escalated quickly.

I was thinking about this earlier while contemplating my sports life and adulthood. And I think this might be our only hope of a 2024-type of turnaround.

Let the kids play. Everything will be OK. The sun will come up

Yup. So far 2 young guys have stepped up in Kendall and Bell. I believe Lampkin will be a huuuuge upgrade from Jurgens in both pass pro and running game.

No idea…but it feels like it’s just time to rip the bandaid.

This team is not winning anything meaningful this year.

I’m fine with waving the white flag if this unravels quickly, but Sirianni goes.

I find it hilarious how beat writers say "well you can’t fire a guy like Sirianni because of his win percentage”……have they seen the putrid offensive stats of his teams when we didn’t have Steichen or Moore lol…..did we just not set a record for 3rd down conversions today?

I hate to say it, but Bell ended up looking really sluggish and lumbering out there. He reaches a ton. Looked lazy. I say looked lazy because I’m not accusing him of being lazy. It was the twitch (or lack of it) in his movements. Just very deliberate.

Only game 1. Thrown to the wolves. Will ideally get better.

Manifesting.....

If Stout was still coach do you think Lane would power through? Or is this a possible red flag that Lane just doesn’t see any good from Kuper and is like F this.

He’s had depression and has been contemplating retirement for a few years now.

I don’t think it has anything to do with the coaches. The NFL is just a meat grinder and so think he’s physically and mentally exhausted.

What more does he have to prove? He’s won 2 super bowls and is a near lock for the HOF. Obviously he’s made plenty of money. So unless you just love the sport, there’s nothing left to do meanwhile every moment of every day you feel your body breaking down. I don’t blame any of these guys one bit.

I booked a tee time next Sunday. This team sucks. Enjoy, England. They're all yours. Trash.

I wish our dope front office staff had better skills at reading the room, Lane didn’t seem 100% at his PC in camp. Looked like a guy that sees things differently with life when life can get tough, whether it’s family or his own battle, he deserves the respect. But I am not surprised at all.

I have no respect for abandoning your team like that. None. Regardless of what he has done in the past. That is a dick move. Erase his career and appreciation? No but that is BS.

This is the most embarrassing stat I’ve ever seen

It’s completely infuriating.

I said I wasn’t going to make any major judgements until the first month was done. And I actually expected 2-2.

But, the way they’ve gotten here is about the worst possible way it could have happened.

I seriously can’t think of many worse 2-2 scenarios.

Fing gross.

On one hand it's good to know. On another hand why is BG telling Lane's business?

This thing is beyond broken. I know the talent was compromised today with injuries and abscences but if you look at the last couple years collectively this might be one of the most baffling and disgraceful outcomes in Philly sports history. You have a generally talented, and at times extremely talented unit that plays like you’d expect a team to play when they clinch HFA and play their 3rd stringers in week 18. That’s how bad they look. And each week I see the shills on social media having to lower the bar more and more to excuse it. This thing is beyond broken. It’s broken and sulfuric acid has gotten into the wiring and completely fried it. It needs to be completely overhauled. The good news is I have little doubt Lurie will do what needs to be done if the season continues on like this. He pays too much money to get these results

If Sirianni gets fired and the coaching staff gets overhauled, what’s the chances Kelce or Foles get calls about position coaches? Just a crazy topic to mull since the last two games have sucked.

BG kinda has a reputation of that

You need to design your offense around your teams/quarterbacks strengths.

What are Hurts strengths? Mobility? Not so much anymore. Fast reads and getting the ball out? No Throwing into tight windows or throwing receivers open? No. Somebody help me here.

Deep ball

But doesnt seem he can execute the play action

I don’t think it’s fair to bash this new OL coach. First of all, the OL wasn’t good last year.

It’s not the new coach’s fault that Lane didnt play today. He’s had a non viable player at LG in every game this year. Kendall is a 2nd year 5th round pick that is playing next to a disaster at LG and a RG that consistently gets pushed back…and he’s still not necessarily any good in his own right.

It’s a suicide job for an OL coach. Maybe Stout knew exactly what he was leaving.

He was the one the said AJ and Hurts weren't close anymore, right?

Part of me thinks with all the winning and success the team had recently they all just got fat and complacent

Two SB runs, two final games he played incredibly well in, one of which that we won despite naysayers like you downplaying our chances at every turn leading up to them. Yeah you guys really nailed it.

Which one of Hurts flaws has he considerably improved over the last several years? He's still the same player, but can't move as well and now doesn't have the rest of the team to lean on.

Still not a great passer. Still rolls right. Still makes baffling decisions. Still avoids clean pockets. Still can't throw on the run. Still struggles past his first read (something that was pointed out by Brady today). He's the same, less mobile player.

Yea, on WIP of all places

Kelce wouldn’t get enough money or camera time as an OL coach relative to what he’s doing now, so you can forget about that.

Milton Williams - but Howie believed too much into that Dawg Mentality. Keep them Dawgs together

Yup milton Williams and sweat both dominated in the super bowl and he let's them both walk them signs Davis who was a beast last year but invisible prior and since. Carter is always hurt and the one dawg Howie should have kept , Nakobe Dean he let's walk and now ojomo is gonna walk and eagles will be stuck with zero pass rush Davis, and always broken carter.

Howie really screwed this up this year with 2 horrible drafts then letting wrong guys go.

Ive read a few times already that 2024 eagles started 2-2 as well and difference between this and that team was there were so many times in 24 where there were almost big plays, you could see it watching the games and saying to yourself man if whoever just got a block on that Barkley goes the distance then boom second half of the saints game Barkley and the run game took off. The team had an identity and that identity was were going to run the ball down everyone's throats.

So far this year I havent seen anything to suggest this offense is just a couple tweeks or missed blocks from blowing a game wide open. The whole offense looks clunky and disjointed like most the game they're just guessing.

Patullo was a nightmare but he looked liked air Coryell compared to whatever the hell we've seen these first 4 games bit hey at least they didnt run that stupid screen to lemon, only took em 3 games to realize that play was dog vomit...

Today the O looked like cat vomit.

Feels very much like 2020 but with a more talented roster. But injuries piling up, the offense isn’t very good, offense with OC that’s probably over his head and a coach that best days are in the past.

Forgot 2 really good DCs that are still good if given the proper talent.

Maybe reconsider trying the play the ITYS card when you infamously had to eat your words during the '24 run.
