It is. My bad. Still think they are a tougher game. We nearly lost to a worse panthers team in 2024

Hurts was a novelty package player when he came into the league. Maybe if his Head Coach wasn't a meat head he could see some major improvements in the mental side of the game.

Too bad he only gets one season of good coaching now since they'll inevitably leave and we're stuck with Sirianni

It's fair to call him a game manager, but I'd frame it more as a system QB. However, it's honestly insane that you'd say he's a poor game manager given our two runs in 2022 and 2024. That screams a level of bias that undermines the credibility of everything else you have to say.

You also failed to answer whether you'd give him an extension or not

Im asking for clarification:

Either he's always been able to do it or he's gotten better (while you haven't provided any actual numbers for this).

Oh I get it now, you don't seem to understand the meaning of the word improved. He had a decent deep ball on display in '22, and it's gotten better since then. It's a false dichotomy to say he could've only improved on throws he was completely unable to make.

They are out both starting corners at the moment. I think it should be an easy win but who knows anymore.

The throw was bad, but look at the route spacing. This is incredible stuff.

More 3 TE sets though. We don't need Cooper and Lemon developing when we can utilize the many skills of Mundt

Why? His only good complete season (regular and post season) was in 2022 and he was excellent in that super bowl. We've never seen that Hurts again. He's only gotten worse and worse. 2024 he did basically nothing but ride Saquon and that defense to a super bowl. As for his actual performance in the super bowl we won, it was also pretty good, but the Chiefs were so concerned with stopping Saquon that they forgot to do anything else. Those performances were obviously the outlier of how he usually plays.

Not gonna waste any more posts on someone who actually tried to say he was a poor game manager en route to a ring and SB MVP.

I feel like the problem with Jalen discourse is that pretty much no one is fair about it. I feel like you have a group of people who won't like Jalen regardless of things he does well, and then a group that won't admit to his flaws unless literally everything is perfect and he still fails, and both are annoying.

Part of being paid as a QB in the NFL is the realization that because of the salary cap, you must eventually become a level of player that can make up for other things missing on the team to sustain success. If you can't do that, you're not good enough to be a franchise QB on one team long term, if that team wants to win championships (plural). That's just how the salary cap era is. Because keeping an offense stocked with talent and a defense stocked with talent continuously long term just is too difficult; you have to do FA well and draft well constantly, and that won't always happen.

No, I fully understand what it means. I'm asking you to clarify your point on Hurts throwing over the middle. People argued he was always able to, but you're saying he improved. I'm asking which one it is and for you to provide evidence.

Both of which you're not able/willing to do.

Tbh they can lose and also beat anyone. I do think the defense (stays healthy) if the offense just becomes avg should be good enough.

Clearly you don't

There are no teams the eagles would easily win against. Stop.

After winning the Superbowl twice in my lifetime (which previously I never thought would happen), I'm a little more calm and less reactive than before. So far, I see a team still trying to get on the same page and, at the same time, struggling with injuries to major players. At this point, I can hope for a rebound if and when we get some players back. Hang around win enough stay in the picture and, hopefully, make a late season surge.

But, my god how many times, do we have to watch Jurgens. He is a horrific. One weak link amd hes weak. For crying out loud, give Lampkin a chance.

To be fair, everyone wanted him to stay out of it because of a belief that he's the problem. Now that he's out of it...

People still consider him the problem.

I feel like when the city dislikes you, anything less than being the sole orchestrator of the entire offense design, play calling, and QB development is unacceptable. Unfortunately the list of people who do that successfully for any actual length of time aren't numerous.

If Hurts is benched and Sirianni is fired tonight....

Who gets a job first: Hurts as starter or Nick as HC?

Thanks for conceding the argument.

So he's still the same player he's always been, but less mobile.

The man in charge can’t fix anything. What does he do? He’s useless.

Hurts, but the main reason is because one is viewed as non-professional, and the other isn't. Reputation matters.

Okay we can agree to disagree. My fear is this, with the way current QB contracts are structured, if the eagles choose to extend him again it will obviously make him one of the highest paid QBs in the league. Do you think his current level of play deserves that? And better yet, can he continue to have this team making playoff runs and super bowl appearances when Howie can't afford to put as much talent around him based on limited cap space? I mean he struggled throwing for 200 yards with AJ and Devonta.

If only you could improve your ability to read words and understand their meaning.

I couldn't agree more with this statement. I don't think Jalen Hurts is that type of QB that can make up for the missing things.
