People have talked about this draft being like the Julio and AJ Green draft. Two generational recievers. Here we are with two who had the greatest seasons in Sec history. 

Smith has toasted some of the best corners in the last few years. Horn, Stingley, Terrell, Surtain had commented about ripping up Diggs and him. 

People forget Julio Jones was picked apart pre-draft process. I feel the same thing is happening now. Julio with route running. Smith with size.

To be fair I dont think many WRs have won the Heisman in recent history.  Its basically been a QB award.

So.. we could have stayed at 6 and gotten Waddle. Or gotten Smith, a next year first and lost a third this year. Overall, I’ll take that. The thing that makes me feel better is that if we had sat tight at 12 and the Giants took Smith, wed have drafted Paye or someone not as good. So I’m cool

Smith isn't any where near as fast as djax, djax is one of the best deep threat receivers in the history of the game 

Some compare smith to marvin harrison but marvin weighed a bit more and was also faster than smith.

Biggest worry I have with smith is if one is going to play at 165 lbs then one better be fast as heck and smith isnt.

What's encouraging at least on tape is dbs just couldn't get their hands on him and he created a lot of initial separation with his release and quickness in and out of his breaks much like marvin did.

Let’s think about this a little bit.  Other than slot WRs, the X and Z WRs are limited and mostly flawed this year.  Smith can play X and Z. Saban let the WRs interchange.  Reagor can play X, Z and slot.  Fulgham can play X and slot.  Ward will play any place they ask him.  Smith is a great route runner and has elite hands. I wish he had a tad more speed but I don’t think he is a 4.5 or plus guy.  Eagles did improve their WR group with this pick. With Surtain and Horn gone, I am okay with the pick.  Hate giving up the three but let’s see what happens with Ertz.  
 

Clearly the giants wanted Smith and with the likely CBs and WRs gone, the Eagles had to jump them  I noted that the NFL chose to focus on mental health issues with the cowpads and then they select another LB   So was the mental health focus on the illness of being a cowpads fan or on Jerry’s obsession with LBs?

CB class is deep enough that I expect a couple selected this weekend and hope for a S.  Want a DE, if possible. That’s four out of 9 picks.

Smith is not DeSean, he's Marvin Harrison.

DeSean was explosive coming out of college, but he also rounded his routes and depended on his athleticism.

Smith is one of the most polished WRs ever to come out of college, like Harrison, he runs the route tree perfectly.

He's also a better fit for Sirianni's Indy offense than Waddle, because he can get open quickly and generate YAC.

This will also take a lot of pressure off Reagor, and allow the other young WRs to develop at their own pace.

AF said Taylor wasn’t a top 100 pick so no biggie. We traded a top 100 pick, which is valuable according to AF, until we trade one away.

Not sure that’s the case. Bears offering that type of package i kind of think the eagles would’ve moved back. That was a nice haul to Make you consider moving back.
