I think it's probably related to the number of draft picks. It was also a relatively small number of draft eligible players.

If the civil suits go nowhere, there is really nothing to suspend him for.  Trading for Watson this year would be epic.  The meltdown by "Hurts Squirts" would be fantastic.

Only possible splash before the season would be for a CB, in my opinion. Howie seemed pretty adamant in his post-draft PC about adding someone significant there.

You would think the Texans would want him in a trade.  And could you really keep him after the last fiasco, especially with the army of "Hurts Squirts" going full Tatergeddon because the guy who completed 52% of his passes was benched for a legitimate NFL QB.

Keep him, at least for this year. Even if these suits are settled, the NFL will suspend Watson for a few games due to optics. At that point, give Hurts his chance to audition for another team, if he plays well then trade him in the off-season, if he doesn't play well, do whatever, doesn't matter at that point.

I'm on the fence. I think it would be nice to have him as a back-up. But I could see the Texans wanting him as well and if it meant less draft compensation given for Watson I'm fine with that.

Texans have their options at QB, they drafted Mills and have Tyrod Taylor, unless they really like Hurts, I don't see them being a suitor for him.
