I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Kerrigan is now the 4th player that plays OLB. Think there will definitely be some kind of new wrinkles whether 3-4 alignments or rushing from that SAM spot with the 4 man front.

Ryan Kerrigan is officially in the Anthony Barr player for the Eagles sweepstakes.

Barnett is basically a JAG that has never had more than 6.5 sacks and who runs really hard and hustles but also usually takes himself way out of position

Cox looks like he might be cooked, Im hoping its just injuries. But he seems perpetually dinged up and was nowhere near as impactful as anyone expected last year

Graham is a dude but still, not highly productive pass rushing and hes 33

Sweat is a limited player and we may have seen his ceiling already

Our group isnt nearly as deep as it seems

Wrong to say Cox is cooked.  When he decided to leave the Cowboys game last season the impact of him not being on the field was instantly felt.  He isn't at his peak anymore that's for sure but he is still easily our best DT.

Nope, not at all.  See my above posts about investment in the D-Line.

FYP

Can rotate Graham/Barnett and Sweat/Kerrigan

Nice set of bookends.

Or Kerrigan might be on the field at the same time in that SAM/JOKER position which would be sick.

And Howie's knocking out out of the park with these 1 year deals this year.

Harris, and Kerrigan is great.  Wilson is really solid.  Kerryon is a fantastic roll of the dice.

Kerrigan is fine or whatever. Nice depth. Not close to what he once was. Like someone said earlier, very similar to the Chris Long signing.

If he doesn't have anything left why would that be?

Was more sarcasm on my end since he’s almost always had this team’s number throughout the years.

Kerrigan is probably our best passrusher now, I think a bridge until we can get some new blood in the position group

Yep.  He has also been incredibly durable.  Only one year in his career did he play in less than 16 games.

The move is fine but can we please get a CB now?

Nahhhh, we're fine there.

Wonder what Howie is waiting on with signing a CB capable of playing in the NFL?

No

Speaking of HOF.  IS there a sport with a lower bar to get in the HOF than the Naismith Basketball HOF?  Good God man.  Chris Webber?  Chris Bosh?  Ben Wallace?  Ben Wallace never avg. double digits points......in ANY SEASON!  I get it. He was a rebounding machine for a nice 5-6 year stretch  But HOF?  Get the F out of here.  Chris Bosh?  HOF?  You have to be kidding me.

Nope there is no easier hOF to get in than the basketball HOF.

I believe they also take college and international games into account

I mean off the top of my head a guy like vlade Divac wouldn't be in in any other sport, but basketball he's a HOFer???

Money.

I'm guessing any reputable corner left on the market is out of Howie's price range for now.

I like the kerrigan signing though.

Kerrigan is obviously a good player.  If he can fill the roles of Long a few seasons back, it would be a smart move.  His addition also bumps the average age up along the DL.  Not exactly a move going young and rebuilding.

It’s deep in bodies to whom they have made commitments....not so much deep in disruptive talent.

I'm full on tank mode definitely, pretty sad to say this early but whatever. If we can land a top three pick though I would be ok with some kings ransom of a trade back staying within the top 7 or so. Collect that ransom over the course of the 2022/2023 drafts.

Kerrigan is a player I'm guessing many of us have long admired.  A great addition at this stage on a 1 year contract.

The argument could be made that with the exception of any position that is seriously lacking in depth, the Eagles should avoid making these kinds of veteran additions right now.  But Kerrigan is a guy you absolutely want on your team.  I see him as strictly a DE at this point.

Who's left at CB?

Sherman - pretty sure he hates Philly and the organization, but my memory is fuzzy. I think he's trashed us in the past, but that might've been the Chippah years when he was getting rid of everybody. Probably costs too much as well.

Brian Poole - Eh, a slot corner. Don't think we need another one.

Robey-Coleman - Nope, saw enough last year

Gareon Conley - Alright, now we're talking. Seems like a lot of teams have shown interest, but there's a reason he hasn't signed on anywhere. Much better man corner than zone though, and we could easily be out bid by other teams. I'd take a shot on him if he's willing to play here, but not sure he'd fit the system.

Bashaud Breeland - I hate the player, but he'd be an upgrade over what we have. Asking price might be too high.

Casey Hayward - Older, had a terrible year last year, but had been good before that. Maybe they bring him in late.

Jason McCourty - Older again at 33, but does have a lot of position versatility that Gannon seems to want. Could be a one year stop gap, but his best days are behind him.

Darqueze Dennard - Former 1st rounder has been a bonafide bust. Do not want at all.

Edit to add Steven Nelson, who seemingly would be a nice target. But how much can you afford to pay him? He'll like command a salary in the 5-6 mill range I'd guess.

So out of that group, who would you target?

Can we please sign Malik Hooker now?
