So Hurts has a minimum of 185 dropbacks but only 148 pass attempts.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

3.5 million for Kerrigan

I like Ertz. Don’t care if he reports. His touchdown in the SuperBowl was a football maneuver if ever there was one.

But, he’s an Eagle right now. And, I will play him until we can trade him.

Ertz + conditional #1for DeShaun Watson.

I want Ertz to be happy, but I want us to be happy too.

Why do you keep trying to push this narrative with Hurts?  That isn't at all what we saw from him last year.  In fact it's the exact opposite.  He had the longest depth of target per attempt of any QB in the league last year.

What was his average yards per attempt?

yeah, I guess. It's just still astounding to me that we just couldn't get a super bowl win during that era.

We could have.   McNabb was bad in the Super Bowl.   LJ Smith was brutal.  And Brady et al cheated.

It's odd, some amazing teams should have had rings.

The Harbaugh 49ers, Levy Bills, Reid Eagles, Schottenheimer Browns, 2017-2020 Saints, etc.
Those were all the best team in the league during their stretch.

I'd disagree.   The Harbaugh 49ers were good, but they were really only near the top that one year that they got to the Super Bowl.
The Bills of the early 1990s were the tallest midget in the AFC.  Those Bills weren't even the second best team in the NFL those years.    They were more consistent, but they were not the 2nd best team any year.   The year they almost won the Super Bowl, but missed the FG... the Giants were actually lucky to make the Super Bowl that year.  The 49ers were the best team in that particular year, and if not for Jim Burt breaking Montana's clavicle, they likely don't win that game.

The Reid Eagles were choke artists.  They should have won and were clearly the best team in 2004... but McNabb struggled early, they couldn't take advantage of the Patriots while they weren't getting the benefit of the cheating, but it all switched after half time.

The Browns?   They were the second best AFC team those years, behind the Broncos... but the NFC was still much stronger than the AFC then as well.

I won't discuss the Saints.  They suck.

I’m still convinced that Doug was behind the Hurts selection. Something happened between him and Wentz in 2019. That’s my thought anyway.

He’ll never admit it but my feeling is Roseman at least somewhat regrets the Hurts pick. Wild guess is that Howie insisted taking Reagor when Doug wanted someone else so he gave Doug his preference in round 2.

Either way, I’m not convinced the Eagles are tied to Hurts for even this season.

I think you're just obsessed with below average QBs that have a horseshoe up their arse and played good over 1 tiny stretch of their career.  Should we give Eli Manning a call?  His defense did it for him twice.

What?  They had a stretch of 3 straight NFC Title Game runs.  The first of which they lost in overtime.  The 3rd they were in it right until the end when Kaepernick threw an interception to Sherman in the endzone with 30 seconds left in the game.

5 years ago the Kerrigan signing would have been exciting.  Idk why he would want to come here, he didn't sign for a lot of money and this team isn't winning anything. Interesting signing on his part.

He’s interested in how high of a first round we’re getting from them.

My  4 fav CBs

Gardner

Elam

Steele

Fields

Sure hope Elam improves on his tackling.  Stingley mirrors so well but I may like Banks as much. Gardner is a little bit light. Of course, it is TV CB watching. Matt Alkire has a pretty decent write up on the first three CBs on his site. I think he was gone from the Blog before you joined. He was a real good draft evaluator and looks like he is back into it again.

Are we looking at a 4-3 under with Kerrigan as a Leo?

Key words ASSUMPTION, PROJECTS.

Obviously a preference for a top 8 QB or tank until you find one, average is completely unacceptable and the "PROJECTION” good chance would lead to this "average” QB play. Of course "AVERAGE” would be a vast improvement on last seasons QB play and trends in the right direction. If he gets that far (370 ypg with lack of T/O’s), 2022 the expectations would be for further improvement and would be his make or break season. Hurts played better than I personally expected. He did have a tendency to retreat way too much ala Kolb and he looks very uncomfortable throwing while moving to his left but Johnson hopefully can fix that one. Basically spur of the moment thrown in there for the last 4 games out of frustration which never was the plan I say let’s see how he plays when he is the plan and to not sabotage Hurts  or the team "AVERAGE” QB play is acceptable for 2021 in my book
