Good defender with 43% from 3. 81% from the line. This guy is fine, and only 19.

Bio

Position: G
School: Tennessee
College experience: Freshman
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 202 lbs
Wingspan: 6-foot-8
Max vertical: 41.5 inches

Strengths

  • Tenacious on-ball defender
  • Uses his lateral quickness to contain guards
  • His strong frame allows him to finish through contact at the rim
  • Has the flexibility to play on and off the ball
  • Keeps his hands active to create turnovers and deflections

Weaknesses

  • Lacks explosive first step to blow by defenders
  • Struggles to create his own shot
  • Not a proven outside threat; he shot 43.5% from deep on a limited sample
  • Needs to improve his decision-making; he had a 1.22 assist-to-turnover ratio last season

Just saying it sounds like a younger version of thybulle who’s less athletic, who spent less time in college and who shot a little better from 3 in his college season

Yup! What I see as well. You hope they move him

Nets might trade Dinwiddie for Kuzma and Pope and they drafted Sharpe and Thomas.

Sixers got a defensive stopper with offensive upside.

Was a pretty nice draft by the nets picking at 27 and 29. I liked both of those picks. I feel like Thomas is gonna be a nice role player in the nba that can score

he looks like the tobias harris of PGs. Not blowing anyone away with athleticism. But has a good enough handle to go where he wants and his own pace and rise up for a mid range, or creates space with his body with a little post up bump and turnaround jumper.

That’s exactly what I thought.  Move thybulle with Ben?

Crossed my mind that they might think thybulle could be moved in a deal with Simmons and want someone they can develop into that role

They were picking 28th in the NBA draft. Of course he has flaws, but seems to be a decent pick that late.

Rumor has it that Springer had a bum ankle during his freshman season. (explains the Tobias Harris-like below the rim style of play) for a guy who had a 41'' vertical.

There may be some untapped explosion he is waiting to unleash this year, in addition to the highlights posted earlier.
