Soooo again you can’t say he doesn’t have control just like me you speculating. So I stand by my point that Siri should have control over his staff

SO what if Schwartz was still here, would siri have turned the job down? I have no clue

I think we all agree that the HC should have the final say who his assistants are. We just are not sure if this is the case.

What I’m saying would hope we learned from the Doug experience. The fact we didn’t hire staff before the HC at least gives me some hope.

I’m on board with Lynn brought him up yesterday as my top choice for OC.

Side note heard Marcus Brady Colts QB coach got promoted to OC he could have been on play for us why I do promoted him heard they really like him

Scott also a contributor who was stuck on PS. This is my issue at most positions we draft ONE GUY, then don't draft an adequate BU. Then when that guy goes down we go into panic mode and pull FA's out of rest homes(JP anyone?). I keep saying it.Start the PIPELINES at the skill positions. I'm fine with "next man up" ( which is redundant because you have no other options anyway) We need more that I thought in this upcoming draft. Ward and Fulgham were pleasant surprises. I wanted us to be in better shape overall so we could take decent BU players. But if we can't keep our starters on the field a WHOLE YEAR. No consistency means fewer wins. I would love to be in the position of taking TWO WR's this draft,or TWO BTB CB's or TWO anywhere because I know we are solid elsewhere (I understand this is a dream,.but thats what you shoot for). new HC, I want new players that are SOLID in every position I can possibly get.

That kind of depth you are talking about is a dream in the NFL. Not enough quality draft chances to even accomplish this unless you hit on a freakish number of draft picks. But we did have some quality backups step up. Fulgham for a little. Singleton not only stepped up but took over. Herbig, Mailata.....on and on.

Why does he have to go elsewhere to get experience when he can do it HERE as OC? Don't we lose enough talent as it is?

My first thoughts come to Wentz. Not sure his style works for the Primma Donna

Green Bay has 3 quality RB's. Carolina, Cleveland, KC, Dallas, NO, Indy and Tennessee all have 2. There may be more, but hardly a dream to have at least 2 quality running backs. This is the main focus of what we were talking about

Tennessee???? Who is behind Henry???

Dallas- Pollard??? I mean I’d put him on par with Scott

Other sure some teams have better RBs as backups but definitely not a high number of teams.

LOL yet YOU are assuming he will pick his own staff without knowing-ok whatever

Dream? We had it once, other teams have multiple capable RB's,that is not a dream,it's GOOD management

And you assume he isn’t without knowing it’s the same thing.

sounding a bit hypocritical to me you can assume things but I can’t got it

Suppose that hinges on how Wentz feels about Duce. If Wentz can't let go of his ego, he will get a bad rep and end up like Manziel as "uncoachable"

All I am assuming is the upper brass has the FINAL SAY. That is the REALITY of how businesses work(and this biz model especially). So answer my question. If Scwartz was still here and we had already promoted Duce to OC ,would Siri have turned the job down?

Ravens have Ingram and Dobbins, Broncos have Lindsay and Gordon, Falcons have Freeman and Gurley. the 49ers have Mostert, McKinnon and Wilson.  Eagles are in the bottom 3rd as far as RB depth is concerned.... or at least not in the top 20

Falcons have Gurley... Freeman who isn’t special anymore is a giant.

Idk neither do you there you go with what if’s and assuming things again lol 😂

But I can say we didn’t hire or promote and OC or hire or keep a DC before hiring Siri

But I’d love for you to show me where Siri was going to take the job if we already hired his staff for him??? I’d love to see that proof since you know it all already lol

OH but I DO know. The decision to let him pick his staff or NOT pick his staff was made by the upper brass. I don't know what that decision was but I DO know the upper brass made that decision either way. SO once again if we had Schwartz and Duce already in place would Siri have turned the job down???

OK, forgot about that, but you have TB with Fournette and Jones, Seattle With Carson and Wilson and the Rams with Akers and Brown, All were better than the Eagles...

Why wouldn't he? It's a PROMOTION?? Who doesn't want to get promoted???

So once again, the upper brass has ALREADY decided if their new HC will choose their own OC's or NOT.That is not an assumption, that is fact. What that decision was IDK, but the decision either way was made BEFORE the hire and there are only 3 people right now that know what that decision was. But he took the job no matter. So,soon we will know what that decision was

Brown was better then Scott with his 400 yards and 4.1 carry avg.

Fournette 367 3.8 avg.

Scott 380 4.7 avg ???

LOL I got it bud... Forgot about that... Point is, allot of teams value having at least 2 solid RB's. Scott is good but he cannot handle the load should Sanders go down. We have 1 RB that can play 3 downs and he hasn't played a full season yet, has he? Draft another in the 3rd or 4th round that you think can help. I am not sure if RB's are plentiful or not this year though

And I agree with that top statement... But once again that means you don’t know if Siri has final say over his staff or not. You are ASSUMING he doesn’t just like I’m Assuming he does.

So why is it ok that you assume one thing yet I can at assume the other???
