December 20, 20213 yr Only 8 episodes after such a long wait. Im on 7. So much less boobs this season. So is it only episode 3 and none after that?
December 20, 20213 yr Im disappointed with the pace of the second season. Only 8 episodes and it took all 8 to lead to the next event that was obvious at the end of season 1. I thought that would happen in the first 1-3 episodes and then see a lot of arse kicking. On the plus side, the next season looks like it should be intense. Who knows when that will be.

December 21, 20213 yr I have one more episode to go on The Witcher. I guess the actress playing Yen doesn't feel the need to show her boobs any longer. Really a shame. In E3 when she was wearing that low cut outfit it seemed like her boobs were fighting to get out and be seen (and they looked real good, too). But alas, no. Freya Allen is a helluva little cutie, though. They are setting up S3 to be rather promising as far as the story goes. Just have to wait another year like we did between S1 and S2. Guess I'll have to go back and rewatch S1 to refresh my memory of.....yeah, the story and how it all started. That's what I was thinking of. Sure.
December 21, 20213 yr Saw the first episode, there WERE boobs, nice little cuties too. It was also some flat out excellent fantasy and Cavill is just incredible in the role. This show is definitely a rank above all the other fantasy pretenders (dark Materials/wheel of Time/ShadowBone/Carnival Row). Mostly because of Cavill, but also because the ,monsters are fun and give it an episodic nature in an era where everybody is so serial. I also feel like its moral dilemmas have sharper teeth, probably a product of the modern video game writing it uses as source.
December 21, 20213 yr Laying A LOT of groundwork this season which can be a bit slow but overall I'm happy they're doing it. Means they're popular enough they know they can take their time and properly develop the story. Good thing about "The Witcher" is that even in a background setup episode they can just throw in a monster fight and keep it interesting.

I hope so - this show is fantastic. I'm actually in agreement with the above dawkins4prez post - Cavill was made for this role. The entire cast is solid, the story is intriguing and the effects are good. Love it.

This was one I've had on my list for a while but never got to it.

Season 2 is slow, and short but you'll want to see it because season 1 will have you wanting to see what season 3 has in store.
December 21, 20213 yr What's to be made of all the rumors that the show might part ways with Cavill for season 3? Has that been settled that he is here long term? Or will we be looking at a new actor playing Geralt next season?

Turned some people off initially but if you knew it going in it's not hard to follow. 4 hours ago, HazletonEagle said: What's to be made of all the rumors that the show might part ways with Cavill for season 3? He's commented on what he wants to explore in season 3 (he apparently knows the books well) so I doubt that happens.
December 22, 20213 yr Ep 2 was also great. So far they have done some super cool remixes on fantasy classics. Beauty & the Beast in ep1, Babba Yagga in ep.2. Plus TONS of boobs and arse.
December 22, 20213 yr I just have a bitter taste from the fact that we waited this long, and they gave us 8 episodes of unnecessary filler in an 8 episode season. And now willl wait probably another year, or close to, just to still pick up pretty much right where season 1 left off. Id be more ok with that if the season had 10 or 12 episodes so that things could move forward a little bit. But... it stopped at 8 and it was all filler.
December 22, 20213 yr Cavill is a big fan of the books and wanted to be a part of this. It would be stupid to part ways for both parties. It's good to have an actor that cares about the story and wants to do right by it. Wondering how long till S3. So easy to binge this show then you're left with a long ass wait. Hopefully they get it out a bit quicker and S2 was mostly delayed because of COVID. I thought Carnival Row was good in a different way. That had a good amount of boobs in it. The one girl, who was in Under The Dome, has a really nice large rack. I enjoyed it because it had a Victorian style theme and an Olde Irish theme as well, which I've read a decent amount of Irish fantasy fiction and history. Shadow And Bone was OK. Worth a watch if you like the genre and it does have some rather attractive women in it (no naked boobs, sorry). The female assassin/acrobat is especially sexy in an exotic way.

I know this isn’t anything profound from a book reading section of any fandom. I hang out on the Witcher Reddit, rare to find something positive about the show unless you’re just a show fan and/or played the video games. I enjoy the show, S2 & S1 were good, can’t wait for S3. I also played Witcher 3 and the story is definitely different from the game and show. I’m getting the book series for Christmas, looking forward to reading it to better understand the complaints. Anyway, Cavill being a big book fan he could (this is just me speculating) be upset about the show not being respectful to source material and is losing faith in the direction of the show. I also read on the Witcher Reddit from a poster who claims to have 10+ years in PR that Cavil’s recent comments are a way to appease the hardcore book fans to make it seem like he’s "on their side” to keep their interest in the show because of his performance as Geralt. Which again as a video game fan, gotdamn does Cavill do an AMAZING job as Geralt. Completely nails the character from every little detail. If he was to leave a lot of Witcher fans will stop watching the show, myself included. He’s the best part of the show. Anyways as I said apparently this is just a "divide and conquer” PR tactic. I’m not a PR guy so I have no clue. But I can’t imagine he leaves with that Netflix money he’s pulling in

Carnical row/Wheel of Time/ShadowBone are all different degrees of Ok enough to scratch the fantasy itch. But i don't imagine myself keeping up with any of them once the big boys (LoTR/House of Dragon) show up.

Haven't read them myself but from what I can tell they're well regarded in the SciFi/fantasy world. Also believe the series is complete too so no GOT "pull an ending out of our arse to complete the show" BS should happen. Games were great though.
December 27, 20213 yr I kind of liked Don’t Look Up. Pretty merciless satirizing of American culture. Goofy as hell though.
