My favorite Hurts stat:

Rushing yards from weeks 1-3: 90 ->57 -> 20.

I may be wrong about Hurts, but I'm right about running QBs.  Hurts has not been a "running QB" in weeks 2&3.

The best thing about a ‚running QB‘ is when defenses focus so hard on stopping the run that we can throw it at will.

Maybe he ran less (even though the last yardage is just a testiment on how well Washingtons run defense worked), but that he can do it changes the opposing defense.

Ok, so you proved my point. Hurts is better and yet Cousins and Wentz carved them up.

You cant say "Only Hurts would of won that game" when lesser QB's did the same thing

How did Cousins and Wentz carve them up?

Wentz and the Redskins didn't score any points and do anything offensively until the second half when they were down 22-0. Oh yeah, and they lost.

Cousins only 260 yards passing with a 58.5% completion percentage.  They were losing to the Lions until 45 seconds left in the game.

Bonus: Eagles D scores 10+ points in 2nd half

But you said D scores, so FG wouldn't count. It would be only 2, 6 or I guess maybe 7 points a D can score.

I’m not arguing that there weren’t legitimate concerns. I’m saying some of the criticism in here went over the top in degree.

People literally were ripping him for how much he squatted down while in shotgun, that it was affecting how he saw the defense. It was laughable.

People repeatedly called him a running back.

People said he hadn’t improved at all since entering the league.

People said he was only a one-read QB (which in a broad sense I could agree with, but again it was overstated and he was improving in that area).

It was a matter of degree. He was improving but people couldn’t even acknowledge that. I fully understand people not expecting this kind of leap. I’m one of those people.

Pretty much this.

Great questions.  Both answers have implications.

Be prepared for a bad game by Seumalo.  He seemed to be pushed back early and often.

Just finished re-watching the first half and the first possession of the second half. To put it kindly, you are just wrong about Seumalo. He was terrific. He gave up one pressure late in the half but otherwise was a rock in pass pro. The blocks he and Kelce threw on Goedert's TD were things of beauty.

Now, it may be that he was terrible in the second half - I haven't gotten much into that yet - but his first half was excellent, as was the first possession of the second half.

The guy who gave up the most pressures was Dickerson. I think the foot was bothering him a lot. Opeta came in to start the second half and he and Mailata gave up a sack right away. The Commode Doors ran a stunt and there was no communication between the two men. They have to trade off but each followed his man and both rushers got through on Hurts, who had no chance. Stoutland is going to ream those two out; it was just poor technique.

Thanks.  I agree with the block on the Goedert TD.  It may be my uneducated perspective, but I saw a few snaps where Allen or Payne were driving him into the backfield.  It may not be a failed rep, but compared to the stonewalling everywhere else on the line, it stands out.

2 weeks of great 1st half play from Hurts and we already got people demanding apologies 🤣

Some people just feel the need to be right and will take whatever they can get I guess.

He has played much better than some of us in here thought he would through the first 3 weeks. He has appeared to make significant leaps......and if you want an apology from us because we didnt think he could make these leaps, and you did, then you can F right off lol. Nobody is more happy to be wrong about Hurts..SO FAR..

But everything so far also has to be taken with a grain of salt. We're getting great play in the 1st half, and then absolutely nothing in the 2nd against bad defenses early in the regular season. He is proving he can win games in the regular season. What the important question is, is how will he play in the playoffs. Can he win playoff games? If not then this is all for nothing. He can get the contract and get the bag, but if he cant win in the playoffs then what does it really matter? Point is nobody is apologizing to anybody until Hurts proves he can win in the playoffs.

Wait idk how Eagles D is in there? I just meant Eagles score. Idk how that happened.

Sixers and Flyers are starting up soon. Where the hell did the time go?

He should be paid according to the position change and the salary should also be prorated based on the number of snaps played.    Fair is fair.

That's why I was being smart about your bonus lol. I pretty much have the same bonus. I figured you weren't talking about the defense

I'm guessing it has already been noted but in case it hasn't, the Eagles were very fortunate to have that last second touchdown at the end of the first half count. There were eighteen seconds on the clock prior to the failed third down run. From the moment Kelce snapped the ball on third down until the moment he snapped the ball on fourth down, a little more than nineteen seconds (call it about 19.1) had elapsed. The Eagles really didn't get that ball off in time.

Also were fortunate that Rivera was super slow on throwing the challenge flag on Smith's long reception.  I don't think he was in bounds.

BUT... that's how that goes.   The end of the first half was gross to watch.  The 3rd down play call was brutal all things considered, and the fact that they got a TD to Smith doesn't change their process.   That needs to be fixed.

Guy 1) 18/32, 56% 242 yards 0Td / 0INT

Guy 2) 25/40  59% - 260 yards, 2TD

Guy 3) 30/46 - 66%, 337yards, 3TD - 1INT

I'd be willing to bet Geno Smith puts up 60%, 2 Touchdowns and 250+ Yards this week too

Guy 1 had 333 total yards and a TD.

Keep doubling down on your idiocy of trying to paint Wentz, Cousins and now Geno as better QBs than Hurts.

Ha, I'll change it. That makes more sense. I was going to say you might as well go big and say 14 if its the D.

The Flyers aren't winning a championship again in my lifetime.  They're a Maple Leafs title away from being a laughing stock.

It’s gonna be a rough rough year but time to have a complete overhaul and hopefully start hitting on draft picks.

He will have a lot of opportunities post career. It wouldn't surprise me if he went the media route, it wouldn't surprise me if he joined the coaching staff/front office, and it wouldn't surprise me if he just disappeared and lived the dad life.
