Patrick Johnson getting more snaps every week is surprising, but maybe he is looking good on film. It would be great if he could turn into a decent depth guy.

Be thankful we have a LB with a high ceiling on the bench, possibly waiting for his opportunity next season.

I liked that Wallace pick at the time. but if there was a safety they liked on waivers before the season or practice squad I’d have moved on. He tends to get hurt so you have durability concerns and really just not good when asked to play at safety. At this point I’m guessing there’s not anyone out there they view as knowing the defense and special teams.

Would be tough to take Edwards off the field right now. He had a great game last week and was all over the place this week.

I think it's more TJ Edwards is playing at a pretty high level right now. Dean will get his opportunities later in the season, but right now Edwards is just playing so well.

Get the feeling only one of white or edwards is back next year as both are FA and likely get nice pay days. So I’m guessing he’ll get a better shot next year. Plus we still have 14 games to go so who knows if guys stay healthy all year and he doesn’t get a chance to step up like Kendrick’s did in 2017

I think there was a bobble, and it was evident that the left foot never touched down in bounds again.   The only question is that of 'bobble'.  To me, if your hands are moving on the ball (away from your body) as it was for Smith, ball movement is clearly a lack of possession.  By comparison, Clement had the ball pinned to his chest, so while his hands moved on the ball as he went to the ground, it was pinned to his chest the entire time.  Apples and oranges to me.  

 

It could have been a call stands verdict, and the Eagles made the right move hustling down the field to snap the ball.  That was executed perfectly.  BTW, I'd also argue that had the call gone the other way, that there would have been no way that they could have overturned that call and made it a catch.

Like right when the ball hit his hands, he had his foot in bounds.  He lifts that first foot up, the other foot taps in bounds and at that same time, what I saw was him pulling the ball to his body and not "re-establishing possession"

If he was truly bobbling it, I would agree it should have been incomplete.  But putting my lawyer hat on, Id argue he never truly lost possession and was essentially tucking the ball away.

I'm not saying definitively that it wasn't a catch, but that the Eagles were definitely lucky that Rivera didn't throw the flag on it, because I believe it would have been overturned.  It might have been upheld, but it certainly wasn't definitively a catch.   I think if reviewed they come back with one of two verdicts... Overturned or play stands.  I don't think there was enough to say "confirmed".  I'll concede that there might not have been enough to overturn it as well.

None of us can definitively say there's any reason Dean isn't playing more OTHER than Edwards and White are playing at a very high level thus far.

If we are talking mvp at this point tua should also be in the mvp conversation. They are 3-0. He’s completing 71% of his passes and has 8 tds to 2 int ratio. He’s top 5 in every statistical passing category. Also the dolphins arguably have the two best wins in the league so far against the bills and ravens. I tend to think tua isn’t going to play at this level all year. I’m curious to see when he has to go to Buffalo, New England, niners and chargers late in the year. Although next 6 weeks he has a nice schedule of at cincy, at jets, vs. Minnesota, vs. Steelers, at lions and at Chicago. 

I don't think I'd mark those all those 6 as wins. N.E., Bears and Jets probably. The others?

OK -  All of Hurts' struggles that he has had passing were true.  His potential progress was a projection.  Just like Hurts having a bad game in the future doesn't mean, he's a bad QB.  2 good performances don't tell us that he will continue to perform at this level.  He's still a long way off from winning an MVP.
