April 25Apr 25 Thomson should’ve pulled painter once they pinch hit Harris. You could see painter was laboring

April 25Apr 25 painters gonna get the brunt of this because his ERA is going to reflect it, but marsh was awful on that play. That is a ball that could be caught if marsh took a better route to the ball and didn’t completely miss time it. Add on the fact, Harris who is hitting 354 against right handed pitching and just 200 against left-handed. A LHP should’ve been warming up knowing where they were in the game and a pivotal moment.

April 25Apr 25 I don’t have a realistic sense of what kind of prospects it would take (Phillies giving up) to get Harper, Schwarber, Turner, and Nola contracts moved. But that would shave multiple years off the rebuild.I wouldn’t touch their Painter/Miller/Renteria/Wood/Crawford tier. But I’d probably give up a combination of anyone underneath that to move these guys.
April 25Apr 25 It’s definitely comical at this point but eventually they’ll win a game by accident, right?

Plus he may hit 500 HRs down the road and can make money off that from that perspective. Schwarber is what he is. I’m guessing probably could find a team to take it. The reds supposedly offered more this offseason. They might be willing too.Really Turner and Nola you’d have to dump prospects into it. Both have too many years left with the amount of money they are owed. Imo nola is actually worse. Cause he’s just not even useful anymore. Hasn’t been since start of 2025. I’d add they’d have to accept being traded as i believe Nola and Turner hit the veteran mark where he can block any trade.

As things plunge further into the depths and these guys start getting boo’d more and more, I’m not sure they’d be so opposed to trades. Ideally, they would fire DD before the trade deadline and bring in some interim zero F’s given executioner to systematically deconstruct the team.

Probably could find a team but I’m guessing the Phillies would have to eat part of his salary.Debatable if nola is still capable of eating innings anymore. Only got thru 6 in 2 of his 5 starts so far and given up 3+ in 4 of 5. In 2025 he gave up 4+ in 10 of 17 starts and made it thru 6 innings in 8 of 17 starts. Only pitched 94.1 innings in 2025 due to injury which might be catching up with him due to the amount of innings he’s pitched over his career. This year he’s on pace for 171 innings and that’s if he stays healthy. Would be the lowest for a full season of starts since his rookie year. One of the things I hated when people brought up about his contract when he signed it, was he was a workhorse that could eat innings and never misses time. At his age maybe that continues but whether he’s a fireball pitcher or not the amount of innings he had accumulated that more likely would eventually catch up to him when he started to get into his mid 30s. frankly it kind of already started. It’s why I said at the time if they’re gonna give him more than four or five years of that contract, they were better off just going after Blake Snell. giving him a three-year contract where they overpaid because they could’ve gotten out of that contract much sooner than giving 6-7 year deal to Nola
April 25Apr 25 Curious to see how wheeler looks tonight. Frankly need him to be vintage wheeler for multiple reasons.

Like it’s not just they are losing. It’s the starting pitching has been bad. The hitting has been atrocious. And their defense has been sloppy. Defense in this streak has actually cost them 3 wins.

April 25Apr 25 Harper should hire Microsoft copilot as his agent LOL"Bryce Harper is one of the most accomplished and influential baseball players of his generation""Harper isn’t just a star — he’s a franchise cornerstone, a clubhouse leader, and one of MLB’s most marketable players. His combination of power, intensity, and postseason heroics has made him the face of the Phillies’ modern era."
