I’m far from bailing on Luzardo after 2 horrific starts, but at worst…at least it wouldn’t be tricky to get Painter into the rotation.

Sums up my feelings with marsh

Marsh has to lead the team in K's looking. Can't even be close. What a scrub. Great trade DD.

Maybe he’s getting called up

League average is .740

Sounds more like an injury

Crawford will look great down the stretch in the majors probably hitting .240 with no power. At least for 2025 he’s probably Rojas 2.0. I understand he has more upside beyond this year, but that’s why there no enthusiasm internally to bring him up.

I just don’t think he’s that good of a prospect. Turbulent swing that isn’t ready to generate an high OBP in the majors and no power. I’m sure they can coach him up into an above average (at worst) fielder, but even that isn’t there yet. I think it’s clear he’s not ready. And, TBH, I’d gladly trade him for MLB bullpen help because I don’t think his bat has the kind of upside to ever make them regret it.

The issue is if you keep him in triple A and he keeps putting the numbers he is then a chance he’s never to adjust to fixing his swing. he knows he’s good enough to keep doing it, have success unless he goes into a major slump at some point which hasn’t happened in 2.5 months. Or if you’re gonna trade him at the deadline and maximize him looking good in triple then you’re gonna have to bring him up and see what he does. If he comes up and he struggles then you know he’s gonna go back down and he realizes he needs to work on the things with his swing.

frankly, this wouldn’t even be a conversation if Brandon marsh, Kepler and and lesser extent Rojas weren’t as bad as they are. If you had more competent outfielders, could play this long game. But really with how bad marsh and Kepler you don’t have many options unless you make a trade and chance with additional wild card paying a fortune or getting an Austin hays type ( not how he is this year)

Yeah not trading a top 100 prospect for a bullpen arm Unless we are getting legit arm like mason miller or Bautista. Based off what Dombrowski has shown you’re gonna get an estevez type which is nowhere close to giving up a top 100 prospect. The fact Dombrowski’s trades have mainly been bad when trading high end prospects i think it’s Bad idea to have him make that trade

Crawford is only 21. Give him the rest of the year in the minors. Reevaluate in the offseason. I am certainly not trading him for anything less than a plus controllable major league player.

Bailey Falter tonight for the Pirates. The pathetic Phils offense will be lucky to score a run.

He has a 3.14 era in 12 starts. Fortunately Rodolfo Castro is playing really for the Phillies….

Think about if we just kept Falter and spent the Taijan money on OF or BP help. Another dud for DD.

Yup. I got a lot of crap on here at the time when I said that was a bad trade. It’s not a backbreaking franchise changing trade. But the fact was at a time you didn’t have pitching depth in your organization. So you needed a guy who could be a fifth starter or be a long reliever and could be a spot starter when you need them and cheap. Along with Castro had been awful for months after a solid start. Dombrowski fed bs when if you actually watched him he stunk for months since his hot start

Nothing like removing Harper from lineup when the offense has been struggling

Great defense so far….

So Rangel is not Ranger

Every ball hit was smoked besides the DP. Probably cause his fastball tops out at 92

Reverse jinx got him 2 good innings after

Romano sucks but Dombrowski deserves to be fired for his dumpster fire offseasons the last two offseasons
